**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

The evga hybrid is what i'd go for if i was in the market for a gpu, the 295x2 aio does a decent job of cooling 2 raging volcano cores so for a single core 980ti i'd be surprised if the temps breached 55-60c even taking into account overclocking. 2 of them would be nice maybe at some point :)
The problem though is where can you attach the radiators for dual aio. I have quite a large case in the primo and tbh id struggle to fit a pair.

The only problem with that is you're blowing air though the radiator so the air going into the case is warmer than it would normally be.

It's six and two threes really as if it was mounted on the rear the rad would be intaking warm air from the system as well.

My 295x2 was mounted in the front and temps were fine.

At most you'll see a 1-2c difference.

Depends a lot on the case as you say, though the 740d has tons of mounts for aio's. My personal preference would be to mount them to the front intakes like ocuk did with the vesuvius system.

Doesn't look too bad at all.

That looks pretty damn good.

I only have a 500r but could still fit 2 in the front like the 740d above.

I have the same case. Where would the HDD/SSDs go as you would need to remove the enclosure.

I removed the cages from mine, drilled the rivets out on the top cage so I could actually fit a 480 rad vertically in the front.

My SSD sits behind the mobo tray vertically.

Interesting, I like the idea of removing the hdd cage completely (im not on water however) for asthetics and airflow but that could prove useful if I end up getting one of the AIO cards.

Thanks for that

I guess also if you had an AIO CPU cooler it would be better to mount the Hybrid rad in the front pulling air in.

Theres a lot of options with the 750d, tonight i might try a different orientation, i've 2 airflow fans at the bottom of the case just below the rad. Considering reversing the rad fans and the front intake so they exhaust and the 2 af fans will supply air to the rad.

That sort of idea is great, right up until you have a user with more than a couple of hard drives. It would help if the radiators were only 120mm but the majority of AIO's have bigger radiators than that due to tubing mounts and plenums.

I've 3 ssd's, plus you could use adaptors and utilise some of the optical bay mounts. Just takes some planning out i suppose. :)

Its not quite as bad looking at it side on, that pic shows it worse than it really is for some reason. Side on there's almost no bend, just a little near the power connectors.

Can't see it being louder than 2x non reference GTX580's, the top one hitting 90... something degrees

I tested them running with an android decibel meter and 2ft away and I seem to remember it hitting over 50db, with the case closed.

I might swap the H110i GT fans to pull air into the case too, the main priority with 2x 580's was to get as much air out the case as possible, although with just a single 980ti it probably won't make much difference.

Just tested this again to confirm:

From an arms length away, door closed: 50/51dbA, same 30 cm away, 50/51dbA
Door open, arms length away: 52/53dbA, 30cm away 55dbA.

Now the techpowerup test says a 980ti is 42dbA under load, 100cm away in a closed case.

My PC room with the PC in sleep mode and just my hp microserver on is 26db, and currently with the system idle it's showing around 40/41dbA.

So yeah, the 980ti may be incredibly loud for some, for me? not so much :p:D

Edit: single 580, SLI disabled - still seeing 48-50dbA, 2ft away from the case, door closed.

That looks good, I have a 540 case, I don't believe I could have a fan on the bottom so my only option would be pulling from the front or pulling from the back into the case and blowing out of the front. 3 in two out.

It all depends on how fast the rad reaches.
