**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

I don't know if it's worth an extra £100 from reference or £50 from the SC ACX Version.

The hybrid is clocked better than the SC ACX version, and has its own AIO cooling. True the difference in clocking isn't huge but still in my eyes that is worth the £50.

Hybrid:
- Core Base Clock: 1140MHz
- Core Boost Clock: 1228MHz

SC ACX:
- Core Base Clock: 1102MHz
- Core Boost Clock: 1190MHz

I suppose we will have to wait to see the temp benches to be sure!

I guess the only real reason to get that card is if you

A) can't stand noise
b) want to overclock the card higher than the ACX / Classified version would allow.

My interest levels are rising again.

My 780 is a Windforce. Good card, but I think I got an early SKU and it doesn't overclock well.

That however, with the dual 8pin power, looks nice. No indication of the card's clock on the spec sheet though.

Luck of the draw tbh. Got the rev1 and the later rv2 wf 780's here. Both clock pretty similairly as individual cards. Though i benched them with slightly lower clocks in sli.

Also. I just want to point out the ridiculous gouging going on for UK customers. (Even more so than usual  ) A 980Ti is $650 in the US and £570 - £580 here on OCUK. That's laughable. $650 = £425 + 20% for VAT is £500.

:o

Yuk, looks like an old cheap 680

No taste my friend. I guess we've been indoctrinated into thinking that only grey and black (Titan style) shrouds are cool now.

To me the Hybrid looks like a real quality card with a decent backplate and a cooler that actually cools well.

Card itself looks ok, but not that struck on an AIO slung onto a gpu. Cooling is obviously pretty good. But try going sli and things start to get a bit cluttered.

True, prefer single GPU myself so this could ideal. Waiting for a review of the Titan X hybrid and AMD's Fiji before buying anything else though.

The evga hybrid is what i'd go for if i was in the market for a gpu, the 295x2 aio does a decent job of cooling 2 raging volcano cores so for a single core 980ti i'd be surprised if the temps breached 55-60c even taking into account overclocking. 2 of them would be nice maybe at some point :)
