You may find the normal classified better value... The cost of the Kingpin might be priced close to the titan x for little gain.Lol, we all knew this was coming, wonder if anybody was actually dumb enough to order the regular classified this time![]()

Kingpin is for proper overclockers, they are binned chips unlike the rest. You pay for the binning process for the top chips that pass the binning.
While everyone else pays for the rubbish overclocking chips that weren't good enough to get diverted to the kingpin edition![]()

On the Evga forum they have said there is two versions of Kingpin coming out.
I've come across a few reviews of people saying the 980 ti is overkill for 1080p?
Surely overkill would be when you can maxed every single setting out, full AA, full bubble and get a constant 144fps?
FYI I game on a 1440p.
Yeah the Kingpin Milk you edition and the Kingpin bend over edition

I game at 1080p as I do 90% of my gaming on a 50" plasma and the rest on a monitor. It's not really overkill. I've got a bunch of games I have to crank down a few settings to play at a smooth 60fps. Which just isn't what I like doing. I'm in PC gaming to get the absolute best graphical fidelity I can. £600 for a top end card? Over kill? Yes. But so is paying £200 on a pair of shoes with studs and shiny parts to kick a football around. I don't get that. But to some, that's just the best money can buy and it's worth it as it's their hobby.
Don't worry about the nay sayers with all this 'overkill'. It's a hobby, build the best you can and enjoy cranking every setting up to max in games for another couple of years. My 780 has finally stopped being able to do that but it's done me damn fine in it's time.
You'd think they would start using the hybrid cooler or a special version of it for the kingpin card because let's be honest most people are going to get higher stable overclocks with the Hybrid and won't need to be running fans at 100% either.
Exactly the same as me, I game on PC to get the absolute best. I want a rock solid 60fps with Ultra and I don't want to compromise on anything.
My SLI 670s are struggling with Far Cry 4 and I want to be set for Batman, Fallout 4 and anything else in the next 2 years where if I do start to run into trouble I'll simply buy another 980Ti to SLI.
