**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

The only time I have ever got a graphics card delivered fast on release was when I was on holiday and not at home to receive it. The card got delivered to my neighbour who then decided to go away for a long weekend the day before I got home. I never seem to be lucky with these things. :D

Sold my GTX 970 on impulse earlier today. Now I'm on the hunt for a shiney new GTX 980Ti. But looks like I'm going to be without a PC for a couple days as mine doesn't even have onboard graphics.

Oh my god! What will I do all weekend?!?! .........Guess this means I will have to talk to my missus, or! Maybe even go out with her!

Cos judging by your name you'll be with his missus :D

I don't have one, so getting laid for me is sporadic and sometimes unexcpected. Just like 980 Ti stock it seems.

Although I do have the old faithful 5/10 local bird I could text if I get desperate. :D Shame she won't give me a Ti. More like an STI.

Most people here have been PC enthusiasts for a long time, so they've come to expect this kind of thing. But for someone like me it's especially frustrating. In time I'll also adapt and know that ETAs are useless when it comes to the release of new graphics cards.

But what retailers are doing can't be defended. They are deliberately misleading customers when it comes to ETAs. They show dates even when there are huge backlogs and there's no chance of your newly placed order arriving on that date.

If I get my card before you I'll take pity on you and put on a wig, I already feel I've been ****** over by Nvidia anyway.

Exactly. If forums aren't for venting sometimes, what's the point.

And we're all petulant children. Most of us on here are grown men playing with overpriced rubbish, let's be honest :D

Men? I'm an overgrown child. I was throwing these tantrums when my dad would only give me £1 after mowing the lawn! Still got a swift clip round the ear and told to make do. Which is what I'll have to do in this situation haha.

Now, what games have I got in my library that can run on onboard graphics lol....

HL2, Portal etc :p

Formatted PC the other day ready to slot my new GTX 980 Ti and also on onboard graphics right now, my R9 280X just sitting here resisting the urge to put it back in. The Witcher 3 with the onboard graphics is as you would expect about 1fps :D

Just purchased a Gigabyte 980 Ti from the parent company as they advertise having stock on website, even with shipping costs it works out roughly the same (about £5-10 difference) as prices from here

Thanks for that makes me happy to confirm its not worth going 980ti SLI.

This is what I've also decided. Older/Less demanding games will run fine at 4k, and the more demanding ones I will drop down to 1440p anyhow so it's win/win :D

Also if the 980's are clocked high enough then it will only be an fps or 5 away from the stock Ti setup anyhow!!!

No mentions of clock speeds on the cards (of what I can see atleast) so the benchmark is worthless IMHO.
