**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

Ft02 is pretty much geared for reference blower type fans with the large intakes at the bottom of the case, doesn't fare as well with cards that dump heat inside the case. :) There's actually a part in the user manual for the fortress showing that blower style is preferred in the case, iirc there's a diagram crossing out dual and triple fan coolers that don't exhaust heat.

That's right. I wanted to go for 980 Ti's in SLI and based on what I heard it is usually better to go for reference design for that. So I started looking for a good case for air cooling and came across FT02. It is heavy and massive but I am happy about the build quality, noise levels and temperatures. I really like the way it blows hot air out of the top of the case. As I mentioned the case is really big but I can keep the back of it close to the wall.

I have also gone with Noctua D14 for CPU cooling instead of popular AIO solutions from Corsair to take full advantage of FT02.

Yup I made the mistake going non reference for SLI. It was a bad idea! Either reference or EVGA SC reference! Or watercooling of course!

Got my card today, very happy that it thinks everything is a breeze at 1080p. Ideal with Batman coming next week and the likes of Fallout later in the year.

980Ti seems very OTT for 1080p...

GTA V disagrees with you... :p

Completely maxxed out, 8x MSAA, all advanced options on, at 1080p - it's well below 60fps.

And for those games where a 980ti is complete overkill, use DSR to run at 4k for a little extra eye candy.

Whacked a +200Mhz core and + 450Mhz memory overclock on my Palit reference card, valley benchmark increased by 15fps from stock.

The cards used in the bench was OCed to a minimum of 1400 on the core. i think the g1 was in the 1500 ballpark..

They do seem too high especially the witcher 3 completely maxed out on 4k they do about 50fps on 4k in SLI with all the add ons (hair works, AA etc) I would be very impressed if it was a single card anyway. They are looking really good performance wise (glad I didn't get a titan x ;).

Still never the less for 4k you need 2 for a solid stable experience on ultra, can't wait for my 2 980 ti's to come but still looking like a few weeks yet :/.

Decided to retract my hybrid order, was still no dispatch email this morning. i've been waiting a tad to long to be honest seeing as other people have received there hybrids despite myself ordering before them.

Great customer service from Sam and Richard on the CS team though, can't fault the CS i have received one bit (apart from the card ofcourse) but thats most likely out of the CS's hands.

I think i'll see how these fury X benchmarks pan out, if not very good see if Nvidia adjust there 980ti's prices :)

Enjoy your cards!
