No, one of their factories are producing 1 million cards per month not day. Launch was rushed by nVidia and they sent the cards and specifications a month before the actual launch. And now, of course you cannot find a card in stock because production still takes a while to catch up.
Think of this, many countries have tens if not hundreds of stores like OCUK and all of them are running dry.

1 Million? During Turing production factories were averaging around 400k GPU units per month and that's divided per production line. Can't imagine Ampere being 1 million because the production of these cards is a lot slower.

Going to cancel my Strix OC. Not waiting until next year lol. Anyway on the cancellation form is the order number the OC one or the other one beginning with a 5?? Cheers

I did a manual search through the spreadsheet on the unofficial calculator for the TUF (Non-OC) and I've worked out im 372 in the queue, ordered on the 19th at 11am. The calculator worked out something like 2245 so it's off somewhere.

Bah... if anyone could cancel their ordered, that'd be great.

Hi all long time lurker of gpu anonymous, I’m just wondering if the lack of info is because everything is shut in the China with the festival. In which case no real comms from that side til people are generally back in the office on Tuesday/Wed. Not sure where the cards are sourced from but just wondering.

My guess is that the bottom line reason for low supply and not much info is the lack of GPU's from Nvidia to partners. There was a post on a Swedish forum from someone who works at Asus saying they are waiting on supply from Nvidia which should increase from mid october. Partners don't want to come out too publicly pointing the finger at Nvidia and retailers aren't going to bad mouth Nvidia either if they want to keep their relationships so everyone ends up a little bit in the dark but privately I'd say most if not all of them know what's going on but they can't come right out and say it. Retailers may very well be just as frustrated as everyone else but their hands are tied.

Oof new thread. Well at least it will keep the convo on point. There was a lot of smooth brained posts going on.

but still

grrrrr aaaarrrrgh whereeeees me grapicx curd

Wait until OcUK give an update. They've unofficially said within the next 24hrs, so can't hurt to give it until the weekend :)

The number you require is the one beginning with "OC" usually. Your call.

Ok cool I'll do that thanks. Like you say may as well see where I am. Ordered on the 24th though so likely a long way down! Cheers!

Don’t bmad. At least secure the GPU somewhere before cancelling, otherwise the wait may end up being much longer :p

The spreadsheet is the data we have currently and not how much was bought on the site. My code tries to do the impossible and guess where you would be but even then as I wrote on the app it is going to be off as it is an estimate.

I would ignore the unofficial calculator for any orders after 17 September as it assumes every order since 2pm on 17 September has been for a 3080, which clearly it has not. Therefore, it is prone to over-estimating later orders. Even for orders on 17 September, it will likely be a fair amount out as different cards were popular at different times that day (whereas the calculator assumes an average popularity of cards based on the data in the spreadsheet). It is just a best guess, given the data available.

You should also be aware that the spreadsheet is only a small sample of orders so just counting those up won't give you the right position either.

I would just wait for OCUK's official email, whenever they finally decide to send it.
