*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I have to say, playing RuneScape with my MSI Gaming X Trio still only gives me around the 60-70 FPS mark in some locations. Other locations, it can be 100+. That's at 1080p resolution.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, RuneScape isn't the best optimised game it seems.
But then again your gpu isn't really being utilised as your only on 1080p and a game that isn't graphically intensive, upscale to 2k or 4k and see if it helps with fps

One thing that is genuinely bothering me about the queue position is this:

According to the unofficial calculator, I'm 66th on the TUF OC list.

Based on some ludicrous calculations, the actual position should be somewhere between 20 and 40... But that is STILL based on speculations and the way people who were far in the unofficial queue found out that they're much closer to the front...

Then, after basically two days of these calculations, there were massive ideas that people were switching to the TUF and TUF OC cards, because... reasons. And what saddens me is that I'm here because I want that card, and somebody might get it faster than me because his <any other card brand> order was placed earlier than me and he just wrote a note or made a call and now he probably enjoys the card that should've been mine.

I might sound petty. But it just feels wrong.

I just hope that my order at 14:34 on the 17th will be fulfilled tomorrow and I'll be getting my card as soon as possible.

See I switched away from Asus and just went with zotac about a week ago and haven't looked back regardless of the caps drama, so you probably gained a place too :D

I feel you. Please don't dwell on it too much... they probably will do unspeakable things to your card :(

Seriously though, just wait and see.. you may be pleasantly surprised.

The last thread was a goldmine....

I’m sure it won’t take long for this thread to hit the same heights, considering the mess that is this launch.

Hi guys i am new here but this unofficial queue calculator seems to be completely useless shows 273 ASU’s Strix oc in the system and telling me I am 1250 in the queue how that is even close to true.
OK, let's try some voodoo - is your order number around 5874973? Ish? And you probably ordered... on the 20th or something? Probably later?

Edit: Probably 19th

Not that I care, but you're CPU limited massively.

I run a 2080Ti at 3840x1600 and get more than 100fps :p

To be completely honest; I'm not hugely fussed. I just fancied upgrading my PC from a GTX 970 and 4th Gen Intel Core i5. OCUK can take my £2k if it makes me feel happier :P

I have a lot to learn it seems, but maybe when I'm older with a bit more time on my hands, haha.

I've had a bad experience with the Zotac 1080 AMP Extreme as one of its fans made a grinding noise at high revs, and there was some coil whine (my kids were wondering where's the fly hiding in my pc case), so I came back to ASUS and went on with a ROG Strix 1080ti OC which I still use.

Hello new thread, I hope you live up to the same levels of comedy gold as the last one. I wonder what happened to that chap who claimed to have rang the police because OCUK were breaking the law because he didn't get his GPU the day after launch day.

I understand everyone frustration, I am personally fed up too however, if you go around reddit you’ll see that the situation is the same everywhere, Europe, US, Asia, AUS..

Shops don’t have queue systems in place, prices increase (due to Nvidia and AIB, not retailers), zero updates. OC isn’t “special”. The more calls and webnotes we raise, the less time they’ll have to work and get the queue and updates ready.

I can vouch for OC, they’re a good company and have been a loyal customer for a while.

However the “card swap” it’s an issue to myself.
