Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. *** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

It’s about time the peasants start revolting. OC - the shop - needs a serious kick up the ass with customer service. It’s becoming a joke and they need to remember one simple thing... they only exist with customers, lose those and you shut shop. Yeah they’ll still have their loyal minions like the few local drunks that go to the same pub every single day. However, without good practice to attract new customers they will and are looking elsewhere.

Funnily enough I had a friend before the 30 series launch that refused to shop at OCUK due to a previous situation with their customer support and I think looking at how this 30 series has gone even if only half the people that said they won't come back don't then that's still a large volume of potential customers gone for good. I wouldn't rule OCUK out myself but the price point would have to be pretty competitive moving forward for me to shop here, its defintely left a sour taste in my mouth that I'm gonna think back on the next time I'm shopping for an item. These 6-7 missing Gigabye Gaming OC 3080s was really the nail in the coffin for me because it added the biggest burst of excitement since it would have meant I was going to get my card so subsequently the biggest disapointment when my queue position only dropped 5 places.

The last bit of hope was that they just didn't have time to ship them on Friday but its gone midday today with no news so I don't think its that, meaning I have no idea where the missing cards went (only complete speculation).

Well, if nothing else, their recent Google reviews have tanked. A surprising number of people consider Google reviews before using a store these days.

If it's any consolation to someone out there looking for one, as I've managed to grab a founders edition my ASUS TUF OC is going up on the OCUK members market in a few minutes.

if the very large order lands this week then happy days. But I haven’t seen an answer on if the Large and Small order was the one reported as a very large order. If that was the case there will be a lot of sad OCUK members as this will be seen as miss reported by Gibbo, if it’s actually a very large order then I might get mine. Wait and see if there is more information soon or just radio silence!

Long, long time viewer first time writer...

I signed up really to answer your question; I did @ you on Discord the other day but you must have missed it.

In short the very large order was actually a combination of the two orders mentioned in Gibbo's post on 20th October. I phoned OC on Friday to ask as I am so near and yet so far in terms of receiving a Trio and I knew that if the large order was separate I would be well in to receive my card.

It is this level of vague and ambigious customer service that is making me unhappy. They could easily nip this in-the-bud and clarify but they instead sit back and see countless people asking whether the large delivery was a separate one; which I don't think can be put down to us misconstruing it as it really did seem that there were 3 deliveries heading OC's way.

Why is there so little news on what is going on in the supply chain. I'm assuming it's Nvidia and not the board partners that are the cause. But how many chips are nvidia releasing per week or month and when to they expect to reach a decent production amount?

Nearly two months ago my PSU blew up killing everything inside, after only 1 year of use. On top of that i was fooled by one of the bigger retailers who sold the components and only received partial refund as that was the cheapest option for them. Following all that crap i joined the que for gigabyte aorus 3080 in high hopes for overclockers beying more trustworthy retailer... is there a redit or some other forums, where ppl can freely speak about retailers? At this point i trully lost faith, i simply want to re-built my pc at least before Christmas... i dont feel like i have any chance here

If people keep discussing or hinting at competitors this thread will be locked again. We have warned people enough times and it is even in the thread title. Read the forum rules if you are unsure. As a recap I have posted the relevant information from the forum rules below.

We, Overclockers UK (OcUK) are happy to provide the resources of these forums to responsible individuals without charge. They cost a substantial amount of money to maintain and use considerable amounts of bandwidth which is paid for exclusively by us. As you know OcUK are in the computer hardware business and therefore the promotion of OcUK's competitors is forbidden. Examples of promotion are :-
  • Posting links to direct competitors websites (i.e. other computer e-tailers)
  • Posting links to computer related products at general retailers (e.g. Amazon, Argos, Tesco etc)
  • Posting links to reviews that promote competitors
  • Quoting the names or contact details of competitors
  • Offering to provide the names or contact details of competitors
  • Hinting about product availability at competitors and their pricing
  • Using the forums to notify a member of intent or actual supply of names or contact details of competitors
  • Listing competitors names, URLs or e-mail addresses in signatures
  • Listing competitors names, URLs or e-mail addresses in profile
  • Posting links to or the mentioning of auction sites
  • Disguising attempts to do any of the above. I told people a 100 pages ago that they will close this site down. the rule is that you get banned for hinting at other companies not close the site down altogether. they need to close the site down regardless of any rule breaking because it's giving overclockers a bad reputation.

"the rule is that you get banned for hinting at other companies not close the site down altogether. they need to close the site down regardless of any rule breaking because it's giving overclockers a bad reputation."
To be fair, OCUK is giving OCUK a bad reputation, not the forum users. All the same, it's their forum, their rules, which is why I abide by them.

How not to do Admin. I'm not trying to be rude but this attitude can just fans the flames. Instead of being us vs them, be on the same side. The wait sucks, its not OCUKs fault for shipments not arriving, we know that. Agree with us it sucks and communicates that yeah its slowly getting better but it still sucks.

You can't "win" by being headstrong. Just relate to all of us instead of censoring folks.

The forum is yours in the end of the day, but going on like this is just hurting the brand and community again and again..

Lets just agree, it sucks and don't break the forum rules.

OC really are a joke right now. Especially considering thyre refusing to stop taking orders.

My question here is, how are they complying with the consumer rights act?

Failure to deliver within a reasonable time and after the agreed deadline is a breach under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

So with no pressure warnings on their webpage regarding queue length, and shoddy updates, what's their position on this legal requirement?

There is no agreed deadline, it's a pre-order. That is how.
