*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

There is no agreed deadline, it's a pre-order. That is how.

What about the "within a reasonable timeframe". How can they justify this when they let people order without any knowledge of queue length prior to ordering?

I get that there's no pre agreed date, as that's impossible, but how can their current practice comply with that requirement?

Had to chip in here with some support for OCUK.

I am as frustrated as any of you waiting on an MSI Trio as an Xmas gift.
Sure The pre-order situation is open for debate...
if you have big pre-orders, then in theory you should have more clout with suppliers.
But that comes with customers loosing patience and communication issues.

To be fair though, the queue updates are good and I think the info from Gibbo has been as good as possible given the circumstances.

Sure OC has its issues, but when I go to the big gaming conventions OC are always there engaging with customer, giving demo, swag. You don’t see other e-retails doing this very often.

I think they do care about the gaming community, so we need to mindful of the full picture before tearing them down on their own forum.

Maybe we Shall get legal advice
Maybe we don't get anything as there is no stimate time on the preorder
But as you say the fact they still allow pre-orders when not having any idea of when they will be able to satisfy customers.. I don't know if there is anything we can do
But I'm more than happy to go for it if we can put more pressure

Honestly, and I say this as someone with "no horse in this race" (IE I don't have a card pre-ordered here, nor elsewhere), OCUK updates are not good, they are pitiful, and the unnamed competitors are doing a significantly better job in this regard.

I cannot fathom why they do this and more to the point, why do people accept it and place orders???

Place order, pay for order.
Thanks for your order, you are in queue position 806...

Yeah no.
Cancel order please.
Hey look, somewhere else has stock or I can ACTUALLY SEE my queue position before ordering. Isn’t that clever...

Too many spoilt brats around, the only option is for OCUK to close the forums temporarily for a few months.
I hope you are being sarcastic.

The forum does not revolve around graphics cards, as much as a lot of people would believe.

I get people are user super ****** off and rightly so but really?
