To be fair I think emailing people their queue positions is the only realistic step they can take. As a business there’s absolutely no way I’d feel comfortable rushing together any front end that would allow people direct access to their orders database to retrieve your queue position. Applications like that are potentially open to things like SQL injection attacks and as a minimum would have to go through some sort of security and penetration testing. It would be negligent for OCUK to rush something like that out to appease customers.
 
As much as I am eagerly anticipating my card Im glad I at least ordered the card I wanted rather than whatever 3080 would come first. It'd be nice if it came before Christmas, early present and all that, not in a major hurry though

They already have a user dashboard that shows your orders. Just add the queue number to the order item. No need for a completely new page.

I would say it is like OC not shipping now outside UK and Ireland, it is to protect your main market, when stocks are available then that limitation will disappear.
 
I ordered a TUF non-OC at 10.30pm on the 17th so I always knew it was going to be a wait.
I just hope I get delivery before the end of the year so I can finish up Control and Horizon: ZD before xmas at highest settings.
My 1070ti is starting to struggle and I think by next year I'll be having to drop into medium/low settings in some games to keep them going.

Would be good to know a vague queue position and expected month of dispatch. I'd imagine at this point the queue is already moving at a relative pace due to the number of cancellations and people snapping up other models as they're released.

I don't think so no, the MSI cards are still shipping as is from what I can see. Also keep in mind a rectangular looking surface mount cap and be different from one to another aka don't imho get hung up on the cap issue as reported there were plenty of MLCC Asus Tuf's crashing
