*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I can tell you that the TUF OC queue is double the MSI Gaming X Trio...

I think you need to take a step back from your keyboard and work out/understand the difference between a Tuf NON OC and a Tuf OC. You spouted the same rubbish in the old thread which was picked up on by more than one person who actually ordered a Tuf OC.

The general understanding/consensus is that the Tuf NON OC is the card with a large queue.

You arent doing anything to help anyone by reposting almost word for word what you did earlier.

The last thread was a goldmine....

I’m sure it won’t take long for this thread to hit the same heights, considering the mess that is this launch.
Haha, I have my next tub of popcorn at the ready. I’m being half serious when I think the best thing to come out of this launch is this/these forum threads. I’m having a blast!

Like you say any half decent DBA or semi competent reporting system would have pulled this out in no time. Its baffling, but on the flip side giving you a queue id is pointless without knowing when they are coming, or do we have to have to rely on each other to provide updates.

This was the general consensus from me and several other self indentified developers in the previous thread, that any competent developer could writer a really basic SQL query and front end page that simply display queue position in like 15 minutes. I think this is the most frustrating part of this whole thing, there's no need for emailing customers weekly queue updates and connecting disperate systems together, just add 1 html page to the account page under the order history page that simply displays your list in a queue, you need like 2 basic SQL queries for that. 1 to check if you have a product in your order list which is of type GTX3080 or GTX3090 and another one which does a count on the DB to check the queue size and your place in it.

There's forum mods here who aren't employees doing overtime work punishing irate customers most of whom would be fine if they simply had a bit of transparent access to their place in the queue which they could check daily/weekly and see what the movement is, so they could roughly predict based on that when to expect delivery. I don't endorse people breaking the rules or even spamming customer service out of spite because none of that helps, but at the same time this is a double edge sword. OCUK are going to make a LOT of money from the hype these cards have and peoples piqued interest in them, they cannot benefit from that rush and then not expect any kind of reciprocal fallout when customers get irate from lack of communication and updates. All this time wasted for forum mods and customer service could have been avoided with some extremely minor and trivial code updates to the site to give a live queue.

Locking threads and causing drama seems like a bad idea, the forum has rules, if people break them then dish out 48 hr bans with a reason for it, there's no need to escalate tensions against the forum at large, specific people are breaking rules and it's fair to punish them for it, so do that.

I honestly find it hard to believe the MSI TRIO has less than half the queue than even the regular TUF. Going by all the evidence, the trio was the most ordered card. I can’t imagine that OC would let that amount of people change card to change the queue so dramatically.
Out of curiosity. How much was the trio at launch ? I reckon due to the higher price, most who changed would have changed to the TUF OC version due to it probably being still cheaper than what they paid for the TRIO, or around the same.

@PrincessFrosty we were punishing people but the rules breaks were happening faster than we could control. No joke.

If you wait a day or so, I dare say you’ll have an update and who knows... maybe someone will steal your SQL idea ;)

PrincessFrosty..

Problem with that is with the swapping of cards going on, up until now you couldn’t really produce a definite list of people’s positions and when you should receive your card as the lists were constantly changing between GPU’s. Now that has stopped the list has been frozen in effect they can give you an idea.

Imagine what a live list would have produced, people would see which cards were the more likely to be available first so would move to those producing anger from those finding themselves being bumped down the list.

This and a lack of a definite response Email wise from OC regarding what is happening or reassuring customers who have been left in the dark has left a nasty taste and although not totally of their making, they have done scant damage limitation In response, they have lost me for one as a future customer.
It might not have been all their fault, but when you read of the likes of the Irish chap that posted who has had the monies taken from his PayPal account but NOTHING else email wise regarding his order, that’s not just shocking, that’s **** poor management and customer relations.

It was also pointed out in the old thread that the 'cooking' variant of the Tuf model was very popular at release as it was cheaper than the OC, when you could have just OC'd your non OC yourself

Anyone from OcUk staff knows if MSI held the shipment of 3080 Gaming X Trio cards because of the Capacitor redesign or not?

Also, if there's a broad estimation on deliveries so I dont have to keep coming here every day to see if situation is updated.

I got a 24hr ban yesterday for replying to somebody who was talking about a competitor. I got banned for 'still talking about competitors' even though it was my only post :D

I'm out of jail now though as of about 1600 today. I'm on parole and behaving.;)

Basically if you head down to OcUK and ask for Diamond Dave, they’ll whip round the front in a transit and you can buy one cash in hand.

You’ll know when you see him, he wears sheepskin exclusively.

But seriously... wait for another few days and give the shop the opportunity to respond. We’ve raised it with them, they obviously know that customers are posting like crazy on these threads and through posted screenshots have confirmed that they’ll let people know by the end of the week.

Please, don't tell me you have a 3080/90 and run at 1080P
Lol. I have preordered a 3080 and will be gaming at 1080p. Haha.

Mostly I play single player first person shooters and real time strategies.

Having said that I have do have four 1080p monitors and plan to use all of them with xplane 11 and/or MS Flight Simulator 2020. So same effective resolution as 4K.

I also edit 4K video, so hoping the hardware acceleration on this card will help with that too

It was Diamond Dave all along, that slippery dodger.

That is really odd that EVGA aren't coming to europe, that is a big market to lose... I know US is a big market in a small area, but surely whole of Europe is a far bigger market. Maybe there is more competition here? not checked out the US market really
