*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

It said in my email that LHR cards do not seem to have materialised yet, but I see today that other sites are starting to put the LHR cards up for sale today. Overclockers not getting any these LHR cards?
I have seen 3080's elsewhere too, maybe OCUK feel they have lost enough dough already giving folk 3080's at the price they paid last autumn, loosing £150-£200 on each card, and think it better to sell cards at cost and break even IDK but a lower spec card at a dearer price isn't that appealing, I am very low down in the Tuf OC Q, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they get 1 more order in before they just refund everyone their dough, but I have a feeling that they won't be getting anymore stock before they cancel all the orders. I hope I am wrong, because to give them their due OCUK have attempted to make the best from a bad situation, but I just think they have had enough, having said all that I know that 3080's have been the hardest to get hold of, IDK you just start thinking all sorts in your frustration.

Dang, that's rough :O I was looking at product pages for couple of weeks, more cards were in stock more often so I thought it wasn't that bad, but I guess situation is still dire for some models.
That "keenly priced" AIO model does feel now like a steal :D

I wasn't following those shortages much. Am I reading this correctly, that there are people that placed an order last autumn and are still waiting?

Yes there is still day one orders waiting as we literally sold 10,000 plus cards in the first 24 hours pretty much. Demand was nothing short of totally insane and supply well you know that answer....

I haven't received one either but saw further back there doing them in batches so as not to get overloaded and would take a while to work through everybody

People are still waiting since day one which was September 17th I believe, so there is still quite a few to get through before you get one, they’re doing batches as fast as they can

The reason I asked about the LHR models is I do not want to downgrade to a 3070 variant and I do not want to pay the upgrade price for a 3080ti. A 3080 LHR could be more in the price range I would be willing to pay for possibly.

Well, my watch is over...

Just decided to go ahead and switch from 3080 Eagle OC to the 3070TI Gaming OC. It cost me £40 over and above the £650 I paid on launch day. The team were really helpful and said that they had my (new) model in stock and would be dispatched later today or tomorrow.

Seeing as I'm upgrading from 1050TI, hopefully that will help cool the UK down and stop the insane temperatures round here... :p

I hope everyone manages to get their cards sometime soon! Many thanks to @Gibbo and @ScottiB for all their help.

I am in the 190’s for this card, which I ordered on launch day, by the reckoning of the figures quoted above OCUK will be paying me to take a 3070Ti off their hands as they would be refunding the difference for what they are letting the 3070Ti go for and what they sold the 3080 to me on launch day.

It is a decision as upgrading from a 4GB GTX 670 (Yes you read right an original 600 series!!) which I am still running all my games like CB2077 etc no issues just look like GTA5 running on a couple of GTS450’s!

But I have been keeping a close eye rather than what OCUK have been offering on price and upgrades, but their parent company, which OCUK clearly show in their account submissions of who they are… The parent company have had sporadic stock coming in over the past ten months but rather than fulfilling all the back orders, have been selling some of this 3080 card for between 1669 Euros (Which it is currently, and out of stock) and a peak of over 1800 Euros (When it has been in stock) so the other part of me wants to say wait it out…

Still waiting for the e-mail btw, I get paid Friday so if you want to give me a go away deal lets see what comes...

I'm still waiting for email too, I get paid Friday too with an earned bonus which I hope will be enough to upgrade to a 3080ti, if there's any left of course.

I was offered and upgrade but due to issues with money I will have to just stick where I am in the 3080 queue and hope a miracle happens, I know I could go with the 3070Ti but at this stage I just want a 3080. The main reason for not upgrading wasn't even the price for the upgrade, it was literally the import and tax would nearly be 400 euros!

I was at queue for a Asus GeForce RTX 3080 ROG Strix Gaming OC 10GB GDDR6X PCI-Express Graphics Card at position 48 until today. I originally ordered on 19 Sep 2020 at 02:53:00. I received an OC e-mail on Friday and was offered the cards that others have mentioned previously on the forum. Today, I finally opted for the 3080TI ROG Strix and paid £1589.99 inc VAT which I have to admit is a stupid amount of money. It is still a good price for this card.

I had my heart set on a Asus RTX 3080 Strix. Surprisingly, several folks have also taken this card offered according to the OC customer service operative. Just not admitting it on this forum by the looks of it.
