*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

. Its different story if the product is unavailable and not manufactured anymore though, so I dont think they can do just mass cancellations cos people would take them to court
The "regular" 3080s are now EOL. Nvidia has replaced it with the LHR variant. The recurring issue is very high demand and lack of stock. There are still worldwide queues, not just at OC or in the UK

Legally they can't cancel your order if the product is still on the market cos the moment they took your money they got into legal agreement with you so If they cancel it without your consent you cant literally take them on in court. Its different story if the product is unavailable and not manufactured anymore though, so I dont think they can do just mass cancellations cos people would take them to court and they would loose more money, they need to find a way to clear the back orders without any risk.
Sorry, you're wrong. We have the same terms & conditions as most online resellers, including Amazon, which state that acceptance of the contract only occurs at the point of dispatch. These terms and conditions are presented to the buyer, and agreed to, at check out. Legally, we're very much covered if we get to the point where we decide that really have to cancel orders, even if the manufacturer isn't brave enough to announce that they've discontinued a product. However, as @five8five just pointed out, technically speaking, we know that the product that was ordered back at launch is already in the "phase out" process, so discontinuance is inevitable and imminent.

One thing that most people don't realise is if I hear that a customer has been rude and abusive to a member of our staff, I'll cancel their order there & then. The guys can do that without manager permission but generally they are a lot more forgiving than me. I've been in their seat and received more than my fair share of vitriol. We can cancel any order for any reason we wish until we've dispatched the items.

Finally decided to pull the gun and order elsewhere, was cheaper than OCUK offerings and I'd rather get a gpu than wait on a potential discount that matches the other retailer. Hopefully my 3080 TUF OC cancellation goes through smoothly, was 36 in queue. Will still use OCUK in the future ofc, this has been my main retailer and will continue to be, just gave up with this hellish gpu launch. Seriously commend the whole OCUK team for dealing with this stressful situation for many many months.

Thanks Alex for the reply, if patience was an Olympic sport lots of people waiting and supporting those waiting should be in with a chance of a gold medal for individual and team patience.

Being rude to the staff about shortages is really bad and shouldn't really take a place as its not retailers fault. I been waiting from launch pre order and will continue to wait. My approach is that I simply wont get a card so If I will it will be a pleasant surprise. I think its better to be surprised than disappointed. Anyway fingers crossed guys cos you doing amazing job to not dissapoint your customers.

I said a few pages back I would post back:

My Asus 3080 TUF OC TI landed. I've opened the box but will not have an opportunity to install it until the weekend. Customs charge was 342 euro, plus DHL had a 14.50 admin charge. I'd forgotten about the extra cables I'd ordered so that explains the extra 20 or so euro.

So in the end, my 3080 TUF OC TI cost me roughly 1740 Euro. Which is coming in around 100 - 150 euro less than the next nearest neighbour if you can even get stock. Is this a lot of money to pay for a GPU, yes and in a normal world I wouldn't pay it, but this is an abnormal world we live in. Mid-range GPUs are so expensive and so hard to come by that I've been upselling myself continuously.

Ah here, don't be backtracking now, you need to double down on taking them to court. I'm not sure you're aware but your post constituted a written contract between you and all other posters as per the Goods and Services Act 1998. Cancellation of said contract could result in a court case, but only on the isle of wight under justice bah bah sheepy mac sheep face.

Hi all,

I don't want to tread on anyone's toes but - like other people have said in here, I didn't get the upgrade/downgrade email yet (92 in the ROG Strix OC queue), so I posted a new thread in the private customer services section and was offered the 3070Ti's & 3080Ti's at discounted rates.

I bit the bullet and went for Zotac 3080 Ti AMP HOLO - I wasn't going to downgrade to a 3070 Ti this late in the game! Plus, I've just upgraded to an LG 38” WQHD+ 3840x1600@160Hz monitor, so the small performance uplift will help drive the extra pixels!

It was £480 more than my ASUS 3080 ROG Strix OC, which is a bit insane, but the total cost is still about £300 cheaper than the cheapest 3090 - and the Ti after all is basically a 3090 with half the ram - so i'm happy enough. I would have preferred the ASUS ROG Strix Ti, but it's £300 more than the Zotac, and all you are really getting for that money is nicer aesthetics on the backplate and fan shroud...

I will be selling my GTX 1660 SUPER which go for about £250 on ebay, plus my old ROG Swift PG279Q which is also worth about £200-£250 so costs for the 3080 TI upgrade are covered :)

OCUK have loads of 3080 Ti's and 3070 Ti's in stock:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-components/graphics-cards/nvidia/geforce-rtx-3080-ti
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-components/graphics-cards/nvidia/geforce-rtx-3070-ti

The Ti chips are all Low Hash Rate (LHR) crippled, hence why stock is probably more available (and the silly prices of course!).

So if you are willing to upgrade/downgrade, post in the customer services - order query section!

If this is not official policy then I apologise if I have got someone into trouble by posting this...

For those of you holding out for your original 3080 - good luck! I hope they don't get discontinued before you get them...

Hi there

As others have eluded, we do have an array of alternative cards on stock at present, 3070Ti, 3080Ti, 3090 and of course AMD 6600 XT (available 11th onwards), 6700 XT, 6800 XT and 6900 XT, as such if you have not received an email about upgrading do feel free to drop a post in the CS section and the guys will try to assist you with changing your order.

3080's are now pretty much EOL, only Gigabyte seem to be shipping and its now become like one unit per week as such the time is nearing now where the orders simply won't be possible to fulfill and customers do need to now consider the alternatives or request a refund.

As stock builds or if we can get a volume deal on some 3080 LHR or 3080Ti then of course we can look at offering some potential deals to do an upgrade, but they will all be paid for upgrades because I am afraid the AIB's cannot even get remotely close to 3080 FE pricing on a 3070 let alone a 3080 AIB card.

Next week or week after I am hoping to get in several hundred 3080Ti KFA2 HOF cards (white) and am hoping we can do a special upgrade price on them of around £1250 to those in the queues with 3080's which is a substantial discount compared to what the 3080Ti are selling at.

Are you still doing the voucher code thing or are the prices on those cards the prices for all? I'm not on a waiting list but considering making an upgrade

Special prices are only for people with back orders on 3080 I am afraid, the cards sell like crazy at £1500 due to limited supply still, were just trying to help out people who have been waiting for nearly a year, our prices in general are competitive or the best so no need to reduce pricing further on the website, especially when demand still outweighs supply.

We might look at doing some voucher deals for new orders in coming weeks but it really depends on the supply situation, we are still not able to go an order what we want, it is more a case of we get what were given.

Makes perfect sense. :) Thank you for clarifying

If you 3080/3070 guys still in the queue need a card but don't want to spend more may I suggest a 3060Ti on a Gibbo deal when he releases more stock (if you're not able to get an FE), damn good little cards and will at least get you by for a while!

Was really impressed with the one I had for a brief time, did v v well at 1440p.

@Gibbo I appreciate that your notifications probably get overwhelming quite quickly, but what’s the score with the Inno3D 3070ti please?

Price has gone from £689 to £829, which is understandable, but is there any chance of a discounted price when they come in stock as it’s the only card that fits in my case?

Also, is waiting for one just a fools errand, or do you get these in stock reasonably regularly?

Thanks.

We priced them as we had a lot of stock, in the end we priced them far to cheap as the stock sold out very fast and we have no date for new stock now, supply seems to be worsening again unfortunately so August/September could be poor and see prices move up further again.

Bulk of stocks is gonna be on 6600 XT, 6800 XT and 3060/3060Ti products.

People waiting for back orders can get the Asus 6800 XT TUF OC from us for £899 now if that helps anyone out which is a 3080 performing product from team red. :)

Who's going to be pre-ordering a 4080, when there out in a few months, know I'll be 1st in the q, it's go great with my 12900k
GTX 980 launched late 2014
GTX 980 Ti launched mid 2015

GTX 1080 launched late 2016
GTX 1080Ti launched mid 2017

RTX 2080 launched late 2018
RTX 2080 SUPER launched mid 2019

RTX 3080 launched late 2020
RTX 3080Ti launched mid 2021

See the trend? still think something new is coming "in a few months"? Unless YOUR definition of "a few" is anything in the teens. Nvidia have a history of sticking to a schedule, I don't see any reason for them to change now. They might be a bit weird and do a "super" launch but I, personally, don't see the point. Either way I definitely don't expect an RTX 4000 series launch until around my 44th birthday, in October 2022.

They still cannot keep up with demand on even 1030 and 1050ti let alone higher end product, new product is last thing needed, a serious production ramp is still needed on current generation or the demand needs to drop from these still insane levels to let the market try and catch up. Unlikely to happen now as peak season is about to kick in.......
