What chaps my ass is the ONLY useful information I've found about my order is from trawling hundreds of pages of forum thread and finding the odd morsel of information from some guy who spoke to a friend whose dad was told by support on the phone. Thanks for that OC. Top tier purchasing experience.

My ass has been speaking to me all day but I just can't make out what it's saying.

Ok im just gonna put this here. Everyday I log onto my PC and open this thread to check for updates and whatever and its always, EVERY SINGLE DAY: "OCUK THIS AND THAT bad company blah blah my rights are being violated im gonna tell mummy!". I ordered from a competitor first, but since I placed my order midnight of the 17th, 14 hours before official launch, i decided to order another one just in case some BS happens. Low and behold BS happened and im glad i ordered from OCUK as well as the competitor. My customer experience has been as follows:
Competitor - no information regarding queue position, size ETA, nothing. In fact, I called them and also used their "webnote like" system, and every time i spoke to them I was told a different thing. I was told there is no such queue system but the orders were being sent out first come first serve. Right I cancelled after that.
OCUK - on the day of launch put out a statement, as well as starting a thread where people (without needing an account) can check for updates (scarce as they may be). Announced a queue system for all customers, something they never had before and did specifically for this launch due to all the demand and outrage. I kept my order with OCUK which I placed at 15:16 (when the website actually loaded for me, I was a bit upset because I refreshed it at 14:00 and literally stared at my PC for an hour before it loaded, but it is what it is there is no point complaining). I did this because at least with OCUK there is SOME transparency, and there is clear effort by them to try to appease their customers.

The point of this message is that just because OCUK could handle this better. Its still one of if not the best ones ive seen handling this launch.

Before anyone starts calling me a shill or whatever the words are, this is my first purchase and post from OCUK.
 
Oh my. Are people really that pety to go and:
A: make a new account
B: seek out the thread
C: make three meme's in the process

seriously.

Who get's a new GPU and goes " i know what i'll do, ill make memes about the company I didnt buy from instead of actually enjoying it"
 
OCUK just put the phone down on my girlfriend after asking why everyone is being so vague as to what's going on.

Gonna give it a week and just refund....they've handled this so badly, it's not even an unofficial forum for Christ sake.

Even an update with how they're trying and being ignored by the distributors would be something but there's literally nothing for 1000s of customers who've paid upfront.

I'm not even angry, it's just such a **** show.

You getting transparency doesn't mean that everyone is getting transperancy. I just got order confirmation and nothing about my queue position. One week later and I have heard nothing from them

Because the info they have got themselves is vague? why bother phoning them?
You're are literally asking them for information they dont have.

Why do people think they will get any different information to what has already been give?

Whelp. just got my email, queue number 764... I shall see you all in 2022 :D


It seems the OC Strix queue is far worse then the non OC version, was hoping it was the other way round :(
