From what has been posted OC have been cancelling orders for more than one card, and not consulting on which one. So likely not a good choice.

Finanicial constraints is definitely a fair answer, though I kinda assumed the chips that didn't make the cut for the strix OC would have done to the non-OC, my guess is that's whjy we're not seeing as many

Thank you very much to the GigaMan for the first piece of honest info I've seen in a while if at all.

If I was this close to the front of the queue and it was going to take at least 6 weeks (not even guaranteed in the next shipment) after launch to get my card, that is an indication of how shocking this launch has been. Bear in mind this product has actually launched and is not a pre order in that sense.

The even better news for OC (I am sure they are rubbing their hands) is that I paid the rrp of 650, therefore someone will end up paying the higher price for my same card.

So you win OC, I'm gone and I hope I never have the displeasure of buying from you again.

For anyone who is interested I have bought a 2070 super and the new quest 2 for the same price, I decided I'd rather have fun with my money now than wait indefinitely for some extra frames.

When I ordered the Non OC version had an ETA of the 23rd September so I chose it because of that. I had an order I made earlier on the same day with a competitor for a Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming OC 10G Ampere but I had been immediately told that it was going to be delayed so I jumped ship. Fool I am!

^ This... kind of worked considering the relatively small queue number most of us seem to have... just no news on a delivery - one decent shipment would clear all the known about orders!
giving it until 1t week of November before I bail and grab the nearest 2080ti off ebay or pick up a 2060 or something.

Yeah that’s what I thought would be the case, it’s just surprising to me how few arent reaching the oc spec lol

Yeah... kind of willing to do the same, even if they got 1 card in at this point at least I’d know it exists...
 
An OK amount of Palit 3080 and 3090 Gaming Pro / Gaming Pro OC are due with OcUK this Wednesday

Hopefully this means there will be 3080 gaming pro OC and not just 3090

I'll admit, I made my choice on a whim. Originally I was going to go for the Founder's Edition, but after much frustration decided to get the non-OC TUF from OCUK. The fact that I wasn't bothered about overclocking, it was at the right RRP at the time, and was the least ugly of the AIB cards swayed my decision
