*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

when i rang OCuk monday i asked how many the very small amount was and was told 3 as i am/was number 6 in the queue
It's kind of baffling that a shipment of 3 is even a valid shipment to a business, but at least it's something...
Still, patiently waiting for a queue update email after the rest of the Strix ship out today. I was 247 so I'm interested to see where I'll move to

i'll take a wild guess of 244

A few pages back, there's a source that says the non-OC TUFs have been discontinued. I really hope it's not true :(

Honestly I'm like 99% that's false tbh. ASUS themselves said like 3 days ago that non-OC are in production. They're just being slow with it.

Then again, if it is discontinued I'm guessing OC would let us switch, which would be absolute mayhem but at least I could switch to an OC and actually get my damn card...

Good to hear that. However, I never doubted that they are aware and trying to do something about it. It would be very negligent of them to literally ignore the situation.

The issue though is that for some unknown reason OCUK seem to be less transparent with us than their competitors. Being transparent shouldn't involve "working hard". All it takes is a simple message to explain what is going on.

If they have an NDA preventing them giving expected stock levels then just say so. The "small", "ok" "nearly large" shipments notifications are simply winding people up. Its extremely obvious that this information is being purposely hidden with no explanation as to why. People are jumping to conclusions about the reasons. For example is OCUK allowing people that order prebuilds to jump the queue? Are OCUK staff taking some for themselves? Are OCUK actually being excluded from obtaining stock from certain sources for some reason?
maybe its just that stock levels coming in are so abysmal that its just plain embarrassing to give exact numbers,, just saying:D

We're not moving over here in the OC queue either!

And if it came to it, and people ended up wanting to switch, they can damn well go to the back of the line. Why should their misfortune become my misfortune?

Yeah... This might be the thing that actually gets me angry.
Well, happily it's a) totally unconfirmed b) based on a single source that has no previous validity and c) appears to be disputed by ASUS themselves? So... y'know, wouldn't worry.

That would be disaster if that was true. 4 weeks of waiting and now that so if you want to switch you have to pay even more now bcoz prices went up.

You make a lot of sense, but I'm already in tears with toys fully out of the pram. Let's see.

yeah I wouldn’t worry too much. I’m waiting for the non OC as well. Considering ASUS have said a few times they are all being produced equally, maybe except the non oc strix, if they did do this, it would look absolutely awful for ASUS as a business.
I’m sure we would have heard by now if this was true considering this is a 2 day old post now also.

You're right, but we're living in weird times. OCUK are posting to say the sent out (what turns out to be) 3 ROG Strix cards... The supply situation is messed up

End of life for the Asus 3080 non OC?? I don't see how that's possible it's a new product. What do I do now then?

EDIT: Just read its china/singapore, may have jumped the gun in the post. I'll wait and see if I get an email.
