*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Tell you what Chris, it seems that internet shopping is far too stressful and taxing for you, why not wait until a high street shop has stock, and then you can walk in and check that the thing they've handed to you isn't a brick in a box, right there and then!

I have a neighbour like you. He loses out on all the best deals for gas and electric because he's absolutely terrified they are holding onto his money before a bill is generated and they might earn a few pence of interest from him. He knows he's losing tens of pounds, but he's so stubborn and stuck in his mindset that he is incapable of changing. He's nearly 80 years old, what's your excuse?

lol, you're deluded if you think this is normal practice.

It's actually laughable and quite shocking at the same time all this "small" amount "ok" amount terms, I mean what the actual hell do we have to comprehend the level of these terms, no wonder people are taking the mickey out of it so damn much, what happened to good old fashoined NUMBERS!!!!! even if it was an estimate for god sake, at least people can put a estimate of a number into some sort of prediction, whereas these "ok" and "small amount" terms are just outright laughable.

It's beyond a ******* joke tbh. Why bother giving terms like that to than dilute them, days later into meaning ******* nothing. I hope everyone follows through on their anger and never orders here again. I went OCUK instead of another, as I assumed it was the safest bet for actual care of informing customers etc. Holy **** I was wrong. My X570, 980 Pro and (incoming) 5900X basket has now been closed and made elsewhere

I'll give you an example.

Tomorrow we will be receiving close or near to 100 XX Cards
Today we shipped out close or near to 34 xx Cards

How much better would this be.
Imagine telling 2000 people who have waited patiently for 4 weeks that they have 9 cards coming in.....no wonder they are being vague.

The question we all need answering, is ok amount bigger or smaller than a small amount lol

Exactly we have no way to interpret this, how on Earth can we make sane judgements on random words which can mean different to so many people and businesses, a small amount to my little family business would be 1-5, a small amount to a multi million pound business is it still 1-5, is it 5-10, 10-15, or even 25 no ******* idea!!

Well clearly yesterday was the wrong day to not have an internet connection (lovely when BT knocks on your door in the morning to let you know they are replacing a several of the poles along the road, and so you won't have a phone line today... You'd think they'd inform you before hand) if I wanted to keep up with this thread.

From what I've gathered:
  • 12-15ish Strix OC shipped
  • A mix of palits, didn't see any above 10 numbers for any one type mentioned
  • A few Gigabyte Gaming OC (saw someone who was 8th mention a shipment)
  • A load of cards who haven't had/aren't expecting shipments got queue updates (thanks to everyone who updated their spreadsheet entry!)
Did I miss anything important?

The biggest question is how does this long wait work with the warranty on a product?

I think we need to start shouting as it's been a month with only 1 email telling us on queue number.

Don't know about you but if my customers shout at me I put them to the back of the queue to deal with. I prefer to deal with nice polite people that will be thankful for help first rather than those people that scream and shout to try and get their own way. Can't stand people like that so I'll never be doing that myself.

Mate, an NDA contains clauses explaining what you can and cant do. Providing mediocre vague updates can be one of those clauses.[/QUOTE
However anyone before the 1st cancellation would know what has been shipped, that is essentially providing the information that we are saying they can't provide.

Providing vague updates and fact queue updates seems somewhat incompatible with each other, especially while allowing customers to converse on their forum.

Just got an update for Gigabyte gaming OC (at last) 163-143. I would bet you a steak dinner that there are cancellations in there...Mine will be as well if these numbers don't exponentially increase over the next 2 weeks...

How should we know that? Have OC said that?

Not to my knowledge, but it's really common that NDAs often state that not only can you not disclose certain pieces of information, but that you also cannot admit to the NDA itself, which is common when trying to control perception. Do we know this for absolutely sure? Well, no not really. But it makes more sense than asserting that OC are hiding their numbers deliberately especially when it's having a demonstrable hit to their reputation and they've seemingly made it easy for us to all infer that information indirectly anyway.

It's all kinda academic anyway because people have used queue information from the emails to infer what has shipped so it's not like if you want that information you can't get it. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nqzTL2tEIl5FLQqZLdTeJ2iLAOBR-yVURCgbsTn5LSU/

times literally thousands and thousand of times? there are queues for single cards over 2k. they are sitting on probably nearly 10million quid of customer money.

If you mean that the interest for me on 700 quid isn't much of course it isn't. but by taking my money we have entered into a contract that they have not fulfilled.

The interest will be tiny in any kind of account they have for moving money around, and a lot of that will be used up front to secure purchases of stock into the future, not to mention as a business they've been hammered, prebuilts are late, webnotes and support is hammered, I wouldn't be surprised if they're paying people OT or even hiring temp staff to deal with the additional workload this all brings. Also preodering more stock way into the future becomes more expensive as competitors themselves have stated.
