*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Most people aren't defending OC, they're taking the **** out of the whiny people. Yes they handed it poorly, no need to throw a temper tantrum however.

That's straight up ******. Are they actually doing that?

Yeah go mess about with it, I’ve only checked the 3090’s though. Some come up out of stock in red but the asus strix oc comes up in green with b.t.o

considering asus confirmed ocuk got sent stock of the strix 3090 oc but they haven’t sent any out to people who purchased cards I’m pretty sure that is what they are doing.

min sure the other main competitor is also doing it but at least they give some of the stock to people who bought them

At some point they should have stopped taking new order otherwise we'll wait even longer for our orders lol.
If they split whatever amount of cards they receive every week between system builder orders and pre-orders then we are truly screwed...

Gamers Nexsus latest video mentioned that EVGA were selling stock from their own store with their own preorder rules which I kinda suspect might tank the ability for retailers to get good quantities. In which case if you have an EVGA card ordered I'd look into that and see if you can work out what the supply sitch is likely to be over the next few months.

How would new orders affect the current orders?

They are clearly not sending all that they receive out and have deceived a lot of us out of money because half of what they receive they are probably making builds to sell for more. Notice you can buy a 3080 build from OCUK no problem hmmmm....

this better not be true. If it is, they are essentially using my money to finance their sales operations. I would expect that ALL 3080/3090 cards are in a queue whether for a new build or not. There is NO justification except greed for using cards which have been paid for up-front for builds which are yet to be purchased.

This is why Gibbo is so vague. He knows that us forum members can do the math and work out amongst ourselves if they receive a specific number of stock and if those same numbers get sent out. I'm very close to cancelling and leaving a scathing review on trust pilot.

I posted about this around a couple of weeks ago, the other issue was that this is a US trial with a view to expanding it into other markets if succesful

I have found this response on reddit regarding the system builds and the use of 3080's in them...

Hi, My names Damien I work in the OverclockersUK sales department. We started offering the OcUK Gaming Gallium shortly after the RTX 3080 launched, we have many other systems that also contain an RTX 3080 graphics card. If you check all our other RTX 30 series systems you'll notice that all cards are listed as out of stock, as we don't have any cards in stock even for our pre-builds. [https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-s.../nvidia-geforce-pc/rtx-3000-series-gaming-pc) While we have shipped systems with RTX 30 series graphics cards this is because they ordered shortly after the launch of the RTX 3080, if you order a system with an RTX 3080 today I can guarantee that you're going to be waiting just as long as everyone else who has ordered the component individually. Queue positions are a manual process, our system doesn't automatically send them out, we have an actual person dedicated to sending queue positions. Also bear in mind that email providers can block emails from completely appearing in your inbox or they're sent to spam folders. I understand that it's frustrating having to wait for your purchase, we're doing all that we can to source stock as quickly as possible and to ship as many orders as we can. If you have any further questions please give us a call or send a webnote. [https://www.overclockers.co.uk/contact-us](https://www.overclockers.co.uk/contact-us)

Here is the thread on the OCUK subreddit

@EVH do you have any official info on why the system builds are offering 3080s saying in stock or due on 16th October. Do OCUK use retail GPUs or OEM if retail (which I think they do as they offer the box) are these people buying system builds taking from our queues getting in front of us paying before them. ?

EDIT: Just seen the post above. But this contradicts what we seeing on the custom builds.
They are showing green icon BTO which means they have stock. It would be Blue or Red if not.
