*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

By that logic you waited 2 years since the 20 series release. What's another 6 weeks, especially if you end up getting your card 6 weeks after ordering anyways.
If you can't order because the product only releases Dec. 1st, you won't impatiently F5 this forum, write angry rants and check the tech news. You'd be happily playing stuff on your current gpu.

My logic is simply if you release the product as you start manufacturing it then at least some people can enjoy it, where as no one can enjoy something sitting in a box in a warehouse somewhere. And that delaying it isn't a solution to fairness unless you're willing to extend that to manufacturing enough stock to cover 100% of all demand. How did you pick day 1 as the day that should have stock, is it because that's the day you ordered per chance?

I get your logic, and I know it's more efficient on the business side too. They can produce and sell to demand, without warehousing costs, get free marketing out of it. And the lucky ones can actually enjoy their cards.
I just see this forum and reddit turn so toxic, everybody is blaming everyone. People get downvoted for having cards. Not that nice a show any more.

Yeah, I ordered on the 17th. I don't really mind the wait, but waiting is easier when the product isn't "released".

If you have paid for cards and are not getting them because they are diverting them into systems to make a profit over the rrp on them, what's the difference between that and a scalper?

I'm sure overclockers will have definitely put cards into systems first as they are a buisness at the end of the day, but none the less there probably has never been any stipulation as to how many they allocate to pre builds than to ship to buyers.

Everyone's money inst being held hostage. If u want the card you wait and if u don't then get your money back.

a lot of places use pre orders to determine stocking units unfortunately this time the technology is that far of a technological advance that every one wants one including the person who's just provably bought a 2080ti at the start of the year.

It seems weird how there hasn't been any.
I think there are serious supply issues with this card. With it being one of the budget cards at launch I think a lot of people ordered it, therefore there's a lot of cash tied up in that card. OCUK would see a lot more cancellations and loss of revenue if they announce they cant get hold of it. Bit of a tough spot really but a bit of transparency on the matter wouldn't hurt. Almost 1 month in now.

I tried contacting the UK distributors for Asus components to find out what's going on but they wouldn't tell me a thing and just told me to 'continue communication with Overclockers'. Which is obviously a joke as OC flat out refuse to talk about it. There was an Asus rep on the forums but he seems to have disappeared now as well.

So a month since I ordered my Strix non-OC. I can’t get my head around why it’s been a month and not a single shred of communication from OC on when I may receive my card. Even if they said they currently cannot get any information on my card I’d appreciate the honesty and at least know where I stand. Keeping people totally in the dark isn’t healthy and forces people to have to continually sit on a forum hoping today might be the day we see a message saying “a small amount of strix non-OC shall arrive tomorrow”. I’ve never seen such poor customer service in recent years. The lack of communication really blows my mind and shows they just don’t give a F. I’ll never buy anything from Overclockers again once this is over

Folks... i noticed some people mentioned they were 4th or 5th and after an update today they are still the same position. (for the Trio)

I was like position 62 with the first email update... today I am 55.

So could be 7 cancellations that were ahead of me?

So are we saying the person who said they had a despatch on the MSI 3080 x Trio was trolling and that the 7 are more than likely cancellations?

Ok so your decrease is the same as mine Robsternasher.

What I dont get... we were informed there was a 'small' number of cards coming x 2 in the official update thread by Gibbo.
What does 'small' mean?

If the folks who were queue number 4 or 5 havent been advanced in the queue but the guys at the back like you and me Rob have advanced 7 places, then this can only be explained by cancellations ahead of us.

Seriously I would wish Gibbo and OCUK stop being so cryptic about numbers and just give it straight, even if its 1 or 2 or 10 or whatever, just give it straight and stop treating us with ignorance.

I'm definitely going with cancellations and that the stock didn't arrive and it will possibly arrive sometime today/tomorrow.

Small normally means between 10-50 from what Gibbo has said before. Very small would be under 10, ok might me 30+ it's hard to tell. But I think we would have seen more people post on here today if a delivery had been made.

No they don't, retail unit is a retail unit no matter what. For systems they've OEMs. It's just extremely shady to use retail for OEMs purposes.

Also most of the places have had clauses in their T&C that they have to ship goods with N bussines days e.g. scalpers haven Ebay - 30 days.

Heck, even some places send goods separately if one of the part of the order is on backorder covering extra delivery costs.

I know that the situation is tough but no one makes OCUK to take orders that they can't fulfill within a week, let alone month.

28th September there were 30pcs
October 14th "A small amount" due tomorrow (15th)

Exactly Rob.
It seems todays "small" shipment, either hasnt arrived yet.
Or .... been used "elsewhere" *wink nudge*
