*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

My issue with the continued pre-orders, if the 'horse' you've bet on get's cancelled or slows to a halt - there's no good way Overclockers can help out.

Ideally if you card did get canned, they could move you onto a new Queue. But with the queue's being open for a month. Your best choice will be to buy else where.

Just to make it clear and so I am clear on it

Very small = Less than 10 units
Small = 10-30 units
OK = approx 50 units
Large = 75-100 units
Very large = 100+
Dream = 250+

As I'm 1150 on the ASUS TUF non-OC queue, I need 5 dreams :D

Here's the bottom line people for deciding whether to buy something on credit:

Can you afford the repayments?

Not:

Have you checked in with strangers on the internet to go through your incomings and outgoings. If not they may spit on you from their ivory tower.

Simplistic view - but this whole "let this be a lesson my child" nonsense makes my **** fizz

Not sure how true but id expect quite accurate. With queue times we will have a chance to see what they made off :D

Talking about dates End of 2020 sounds Xmas :D

Where is this from?

Stop being a gullible numpty. Oh but your so naive, one post of Gibbo that was massively overdue makes everything ok! No wonder the world is so screwed with suck-ups like that you get influenced so easily

Bet you love bending over
Not really hurts my back if I'm honest. Cons of an office job and a sedentary lifestyle. But funny you call me the gullible one when you, or the people whom you're trying to represent are clearly the ones with the mis-guided sense of entitlement trying to dictate how a company should run themselves. Agreeing to hand over your money to OCUK despite no indication of when you'll ever get your card and then being mad when it hasn't come two weeks later. Don't get me wrong nearly everyone that placed an order for a 30 series card has been more disappointed than they were expecting as more information came to light in regards to just how long some of us will have to wait in the end. But I, as many other have, made my peace with that many weeks ago and are content to sit patiently by knowing full well we'll get our cards as soon as OCUK can get them to us.

If you want to call that gullible then go ahead but I'd rather that than a disgruntled entitled individual dictating how a company should run themselves and being gullible enough to think it'll actually have any effect.

The lack of information coming from partners makes you think that there may actually be some NDA in place as well as other restrictions. Surely any business that manufactures any product understands their potential to manufacture and ship goods in actual quantitative amounts. The lack of information coming from them doesn't add up. They must know that that can produce and ship x amount per day and do so at consistent levels. The whole thing stinks of a **** marketing strategy by Nvidia.

Amen to that

Because it's scummy. Taking money for something you have no clue when you can supply and we are talking 1000s in some ques. They should draw the line somewhere. Why do you care? Are you paid to kiss ass? They speak of stress but continue to pile it on themselves, hoping it will leverage them more stock which clearly has backfired. Some of you are so gullible it's beyond hilarious. But hey think of the interest on a few million eh.

I'm well within my right to share my view, if you don't like it then move along

So you want to have an opinion but do now want to be challenged on it, that is not how it works on a disscussion forum so I suggest you grow up and stop the childish comments.

I appreciate the close to large amount of words from Gibbo. It's really good to have an update even if that update is just "we have no information".

No the bottom line is that you make the decision on what to do, but you accept the responsibility for the outcome.

It wasn't me that made my personal financial problems the talking point of the discussion thread. And people that frown on taking advice because of some emotional disdain for others and their ivory towers are the ones liable to run into the same problems again in future. Some mistakes you can't take back but you can at least learn from them and not make them again, if you blame other people for your choices you discard your responsibility and you just make it more likely it'll happen again. Thinking you're too good for advice is kind of a bad position to be in.
