*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

@Gibbo - like most of us I've been in this forum everyday since release and today is the most I've seen you active and to be honest it's nice to see some honest updates on posts here.

I get you can't be here all day everyday but popping in a couple of times a week to reply to comments gives useful insight outside of the other posts around deliverys IMO

After that latest update I'm actually starting to feel a little sorry for Overclockers. Asus have been so poor it's laughable. They can't even get their story straight, you've got their social media team saying all cards are being produced equally and a guy from the NA marketing team saying they aren't. It's comical, I don't get why these companies don't just give their customers an accurate official update

So no news for the TUF OC 3080 then, I kinda presumed that as these were 1st on many peoples radars and reviews they would have been shipped 1st. Or at least some would leak out ?
I'm guessing another week, another movement of 10 places from cancelled orders. I am Q #326, Is it still possible to see this arrive before Christmas ? that's all I'm bothered about as it's my Christmas pressie really anyway ;)

Q) Would you have still preordered if you knew there were 1000+ahead of you in the queue? With only stock for almost all cards being drip fed out to sellers like OC i anticipate your wait will be well into 2021. Hoping I'm wrong of course and the rumours of a stock surge in November will be a welcome arrival - if it actually happens!

I mean, I anticipated the queue number would be large, so I suppose I would have. However, I may not have done so if it was a bit more clear of the actual shipment sizes on the site (ten cards going out in week for example) but its purely my own ignorance assuming that the outgoing numbers would be larger than that. With the "ramp up" in mid November as everywhere seems to be saying, it could be Jan I suppose. End of the day, my 1080ti will more than do the job until it arrives.

FWIW, I have been very vocal and critical of OCUK, but i am totally fine with Gibbo's multi post update in the other thread.

All i ask is the line of communication stays open like this

Same, I'm sure anyone who recognises my name at this point associates it with some kind of rant. But as long as we get NEWS I'm happy. Doesn't have to be good news, Gibbo could straight up say "We've had confirmation that non-OCs won't arrive for 6 months", I'd rather know that than nothing.

I just Wonder how many people will jump ship when the Radeon 6000 cards are released and more is known about them. I'm not a die hard fan of either and being 1776th in line for the non OC Asus TUF which doesn't even look as though it will materialise, AMD may yet get my money.
Glad i'm not tied in with a G-Sync monitor.
Nvidia have annoyed a lot of loyal customers I feel with this False launch, I hope AMD can do better and actually have their cards available in quantity.

It’s possible. Nobody knows though. Depends how much more stock november offers.
We will see larger amounts and hopefully more frequent shipments but it depends how large they actually are.
With AMD launching so soon, they need to get their act together.

same boat in queue 255 or so ( can't remember of the top of my head ), if they start receiving 50 pieces per week it will be good, but I don't know.

So if only 500 cards have shipped and they had 1000 game codes ( as stated in previous posts ) , then everyone who gets a card over the next couple of months should still get the free game, right?

Communication is the one area OC appears to have fallen down. Not everyone has time to scroll through pages on forums to seek their answer. Transparency wouldn't go amiss which appears to rile quite a few on here who are 2mths into their wait with no ETA or information on their cards after money was taken. If stocks are due to dramatically increase in November then joining a queue now may have saved yourself 2mths of frustration. Only time will tell and if the 20GB version does ship in December then I expect the current landscape of orders to change once again.

Feeling a bit sorry when they claim to be the one of the biggest and one of the first to get stock, and their main competitor get's chosen to distribute FE stock.

nope only the first 1k preorders on time will get a code allocated to them anyone after won’t. It says on your order if you have one allocated or not :( I ordered a trinity oc on the 22nd and got my card last week without a code
