*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Looks like the 3070 is going to be another flop. With stock being reported to not show up with the requested numbers. These are the same guys that did the Reddit post that Nvidia didn't like about the 3080's not showing up.

Well, that's me cancelled. A total ****-show that I am glad to be rid of. Asus TUF OC, pos 38, congrats, you all move up a space.

I am currently snuggling up next to my shiny new 3090 FE, grabbed during yesterdays open window at a competitor. A wonderful shopping experience, with a confirmation e-mail for every stage of the purchase, live tracking of the delivery, and less than 24 hours in total, door to door.

Pay attention OCUK, this is how it should be done. If you lack the clout, don't attempt to punch above your weight. Many things are nVidias fault, but you are not blameless here.

Communication is the one area OC appears to have fallen down. Not everyone has time to scroll through pages on forums to seek their answer. Transparency wouldn't go amiss which appears to rile quite a few on here who are 2mths into their wait with no ETA or information on their cards after money was taken. If stocks are due to dramatically increase in November then joining a queue now may have saved yourself 2mths of frustration. Only time will tell and if the 20GB version does ship in December then I expect the current landscape of orders to change once again.

I'd go as far as to say not everyone even knows the Forums exist, so having some more clear info on the page would go a looooooong way. If for example someone has made a preorder for the card as a gift and isn't really clued into the hardware scene, they could expect that the cards would arrive for Christmas. Luckily I haven't been waiting for as long as everyone else, I do feel for the guys that have been waiting an absolute age. You never know, AMD may actually pull it out of the bag this time as seeing Nvidia's shambles and there's a load of cancellations. Typically, as a Gsync reliant user, I'm tied in, but what can you do.

Did anyone notice that there was no mention of the using incoming stock for the pre-builds? I don't know about you guys but having paid my hard earned cash for my board I feel that if one of the type I ordered comes in and a single customer is still waiting then the card is his, as he or she has already paid for it, to hold the money and fit the card to a pre-build for a higher mark up and ignore the fact customers who have paid are waiting smacks of illegal behaviour, what say you?
read gibbo,s post on his update thread it will answer your gripe.

seems its posted in the 3080 section i would imagine you pre ordered a asus 3080 tuf oc card SO ive got to say well done nvidia:) you order a 3080 at 650-700 pounds and they upsell you to the 3090 fe graphic card at double the price really good upselling :)

Been exactly a month since I ordered my tuf 3080 non/o.c. heard the rumour Asus had stopped production of non o.c version and I can only assume it's due to lack of performance difference between the o.c and non versions. Asus will lose a lot of money if they have no way of justifying the extra cost of the strix or tuf o.c model for zero tangible benefit. I'm gonna hold out for my tuf and in 1079 deliveries time I shall expect a graphics card that rivals the tuf performance or better for the money I have already paid out.

It’s possible. Nobody knows though. Depends how much more stock november offers.
We will see larger amounts and hopefully more frequent shipments but it depends how large they actually are.
With AMD launching so soon, they need to get their act together.
fingers crossed they do, I wont be swapping Nvidia for the red team though, I have always bought Nvidia and probably always will unless BIGNAVI really is a shift up.

all 3080 will allways be within a few fps of each other though it doesnt matter if its the base card or a top of the line card all 3080 will be very similar in performance its all down to silicon quality to sqeeze that extra few % out of.

They are producing them, read gibbos update

I am sorry but I really have no idea on how our internal software works and how someone could jump the queue is like impossible to my knowledge, but that is a side of the business I do not get involved in and am just told the system works on first come first served so it should not happen. Maybe a post in CS section could be more revealing potentially.

I just posted about EVGA.
MSI Gaming Trio 3080 so far we have received and shipped 55 cards since launch and we have over 1000 backorders on that SKU. So far I have not being contacted by MSI or an MSI distributor informing me of more stock yet for this week but again an update could come at any time.
Gibbo am afraid at the end point all the moaners are just that, you cant teach pork! we just chill hang in there and carry on as normal at least the sane ones do, cheers for comprehensive update today. we knew it wasnt you!!

I originally wanted a 3090 FE, then talked myself out of it. Then talked myself back into it!!

But yes, it was a 3080 TUF OC that I cancelled.

Best of luck everybody. It has been emotional!

We are fully aware those still waiting for cards are deeply frustrated about the shortage and lack of updates from OcUK. Unfortunately, OcUK can only pass information on as we get it, which we are doing. Behind the scenes, we are trying as hard as possible to get better information about future shipping volumes.

We should make it clear that OcUK is a reseller of graphics cards and not a manufacturer and as such, we have no control over the quantities produced. We have thousands of backorders on our system and NVIDIA along with all board partners are fully aware of our backorders.

At present, the manufacturers simply cannot meet the demand for the 3000 series (particularly the 3080 model) and we need to inform our customers this is totally out of our control as we are not the manufacturer of the product. Our demand is communicated to board partners on a daily basis and updates are constantly requested, but unfortunately they are not always forthcoming or the updates are simply along the lines of we have no more updates for you. It is an extremely frustrating situation for ourselves to be in as we can see how frustrating it is to our customers and we are doing everything we can. We totally understand our customers’ point of view but at same time, it is upsetting to see anger vented at ourselves when we do not control the launch date or the manufacturing. We are passing on updates as the manufacturers give it to ourselves and pushing to obtain as much stock as possible.

We politely ask our customers to try to be patient. We speak to NVIDIA daily highlighting how customers are extremely unsatisfied with the current situation. NVIDIA this week have promised me volumes are now ramping up and in the next 2-3 weeks, we will receive much improved quantities from board partners.

This launch has being our most stressful ever, with demand outstripping supply massively compared to previous launches. Further delays followed due to Golden Week when all the factories close down. As a reseller we do not pick launch dates for products, we follow the schedules provided by manufacturers as to when product information, pricing and buy buttons can go live.

Although it does not help those who are still waiting for cards, you can take reassurance by the fact that we have shipped over 500pcs of the 3080 and nearly 200pcs of 3090. We expect the 3070 to have better stock at launch and better supply going forward and with supply ramping up on the other models we are hopeful for a better November.

We just want to remind you all, we are talking on a daily basis attempting to secure all the stock we can and we hope come November with no more public holidays and supply ramping up that things will improve. Of course, very popular cards from the bigger brands such as Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte and MSI will take longer for backorders to be fulfilled and presently those manufacturers cannot give us shipping info far enough in advance to know if they can clear all our backorders off in 2020. We feel these manufacturers will not be able to give us concrete information until the end of November.

Please accept our apologies for these delays but also please remember OcUK is not the manufacturer and we are truly in the hands of the board partners in ramping up supply. We will then make sure we receive large volumes of stock so that we can ship your orders. Please bear with us and again be patient. I would like to apologise to Overclockers for being part of this lynch mob

over 500, so everyone concerned about the game and GeForce now codes can probably relax a little. especially if they expect to get more codes eventually

they dont expect to get any more codes in so i was told by support so only the people who have a code on there order will get one

Yep, the last few updates from Gibbo's thread and his last few replies in this thread is exactly how I wished things had been communicated from the beginning.
That's the kind of improvement that I was hoping for - can't change the past, but at least it seems that the message was received so kudos for the improvement.
