Your guess is as good as ours. If you hang around until Monday you may have a better idea :)

Just came across a roundup of every 3090 model comparing them all and a little paragraph on each just before they were launched. Almost every single card except for the obvious strix and MSI gaming cards etc were meant to have a list price of £1399, the same as the FE. Some cheaper cards like the ventus were meant to be cheaper than an FE.

Even then the strix and MSI were only meant to be £50 more.

Imagine how different things would have been if there hadnt been the stock issue?

A strix for £1450 and a Strix OC for £1500?
Strix oc was sitting at 1589.00 on oc 2nd of September so your not wrong

Nah. Not considering the quality of the VRM. 22 power stages and no expense spared on any component according to those that have torn one down. Top quality top to bottom. No way that was ever coming for an extra fifty quid. Happy to be proved wrong if you can point me to a reliable source that says the MSRP was around £1450 ever.

£1589 was probably about right, but I do not blame anyone for bumping that up a bit when demand and supply is the way it is. Businesses gotta biz.

Was busy today so missed the email (and most of this thread). Has it been confirmed that the queue number is for that specific card? Seems logical, but just wondering.

This is mine:

Yes. It’s the queue for that specific SKU.

you are missing Nvidia used top quality components too and a custom board and a cooler that is way more expensive than ASUs cooler.

nvidia said the 3080 cooler cost £150 so the 3090 might be £200. That makes the base card and chip cost £1199. Isn’t £350 extra enough for the improvement ASUs made?
