*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Unfortunately some are broken like mine  , currently awaiting an RMA replacement on mine due to the buzzing fan issue some seem to suffer which apparently effects the 3070/3080/3090 strix models  https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?121271-Strix-RTX-3090-Fan-vibration-issues

BUT issues aside once its fixed it should be a good cooler ;)

Jesus, that would drive me nuts.

The Asus Strix cards look the best for sure, but I hope they sort out this issue as I'm planning on the Asus 3080ti when it launches in January :)

Imagine imagining an imaginary GPU being available on an imagined release date made with imaginary available chips and not imagining this imagined card having a paper launch and only being available in 3-4 months afterwards. Just imagine that.

So I gave in in the end waiting on the xtreme. I have all my pc bits waiting for a gpu so I went and got an FE which actually is what I wanted right at the start ironically.

The absence of any update here (even to say no update) just wasn't enough to keep me on tenter hooks. I was 15th in the queue last week and think it dropped 10 or a so places due to cancellations. From the looks of it all retailers are struggling to get the xtreme.

Just grabbed a 3090 FE from you know who, going to cancel my strix oc 267 in the queue and no sign of it moving this side of Christmas, bye bye Asus for all the lies and clockers for a train crash of a launch for zero info on when we are likely to see our orders.

The stupid power cable placement and proprietary connector puts me off. Otherwise, I’d jump.

I was tempted, but only 350w power rating, so would need shunt mods to even try for good overclock. I'll do some research and see if any higher powered bioses are available for FE cards.

Indeed but I'm not waiting forever for Asus and this place to sort their problems out, totally lost faith in the way they have handled the launch with lie after lie.

Agreed. There's something fishy going on with the Asus Strix cards with neither Asus or OC telling us what is actually happening. I personally don't care if the fans have an issue. It'll go straight onto water after initial soak test.

Exactly, if only they told the truth and be more transparent, somebody knows but they ain't telling, fan problems, ports/customs etc they know, be open I would have waited but getting fobbed time and time again with pathetic excuses does not wash with me, their loss and another customer lost unlikely to return.

same also with EK’s 3080 block design putting water inlet and outlet at the side rather than top. Prefer top as I already design my case for it also there’s no block for 3090 FE yet. Strix block is here and so is everything else apart the card itself. Fan noise won’t bug me as one reason is that in fact I’m profoundly deaf 2nd fact it’s going on water block. Gutted that my card get held up while I’m so close to the front.

The asus strix has a weaker VRM than the standard Fe models, only thing the strix does is offer a higher power above 400w the Fe offers, 480w but if you look the VRM is weaker than the Fe. Only card to date that offers stronger VRM than the Fe with more phases is the palit Gamerock 3090 oc
Awesome thanks cause I just cancelled my strix :D and got FE due for delivery next week YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE \o/
