Last Sunday I saw 3090 TUF pre orders became available again, so I assumed they were expecting a large shipment of them that would cover outstanding orders plus extra to be pre ordered. Why else would they open pre orders again to these cards? Since then I've spotted an update on the 24th that I didn't know existed saying that the large shipment of ASUS cards expected only includes a small amount of 3090 TUF cards (which I would assume won't cover pre orders). To add to that another large UK PC retailer has announced this morning that their expected large shipment prom ASUS is now delayed and are now only hoping for some small shipments next week, which I assume covers OCUK also. I have no idea my position in the queue for the 3090 TUF OC. Should I just cancel my pre order? As £1650 is a lot of money for a company to hold when they are still taking pre orders but can't even estimate stock arrival. Especially as there's a 3090 FTW3 Ultra on a huge retailer with clear delivery date...
 
Order cancelled. There is only so long you can stay 2nd in a queue whilst watching nearly every other retailer get the cards in stock. Overclockers are an absolute joke and I'll be joining a massively growing list of people who won't be shopping with them again. Good luck everyone else, you'll need it.

But how do you know what his work load or contacted responsibilities are? He may be instructed from his superiors to give minimal info for business reasons for all we know. You shouldn't really be making calls like that when you have no info. Scapegoating 1 person is pretty dumb.

Exactly that, and he can only report on what he has to report. If he has nothing to report, then he has nothing to report.

If he says he's is not getting your card this week, you will be upset, if he says they are expecting it and does not arrive, you will also be upset.

There is physically nothing they can do apart from wait for shipments.

I have my card, got it last month, I just come back here to see what is still going on, people still being irate I see, if you are that bothered about it, cancel your order and go buy from the fountains of cards that are elsewhere (thats a joke, they all have same situation)
 
Well last week I was pos 25 for 3090 tuf non oc. So I will sit even though its the slowest moving version. Its the one I want. Re updates. I've had email each week. But if there are no stock what is to report. Only really need to know if there are changes. Why waste time reporting nothing.. if I get no news I assume its the same as previous. If I see an update email I assume its good news. People are free to jump, I did on a mobo that ws E.O.L. reported and no news on stock here but found one in France. But as far as gpu is concerned can hang in there. BTW still waiting on a psu and a distroplate still on pre order. Its not just GPU,s everything is struggling. Time will tell
 
<rant> I'm done. Waited weeks for my asus 3090 non OC. Overclockers have confirmed i've only moved up the queue due to cancellations. Terrible experience, never coming back to overclockers, they really should have been more communicative over stock supplies coming in like another well known competitor. Good luck to all those still waiting. No doubt they'll get a shipment monday morning now i've cancelled but i actually wanted the 3080 reference anyway. </rant>
 
Seriously considering a Gaming X Trio (obv from the other site) based on the TechPowerUp review (https://www.techpowerup.com/review/asus-geforce-rtx-3090-strix-oc/37.html) . Negligible FPS difference. Don't know if that was just a good sample though. Wish it had more HDMI outputs though, so Aorus Master with 3 of each might be a better bet, especially as my 2080ti is an Aorus and gives an easy 1960 MHz under max load (power limited) ).
I'm going to be using the 3090 for FS2020 and DCS World, both of which are on DX11. I'm seriously wondering if a 3090 (<50% improvement) is even worth buying over my OC 2080ti!

I understand it's power limited out of the box. May be wrong, but that's what I've read. That would mean no real overclock unless you shunt mod it (and maybe add an extra power feed and definitely a waterblock).

They won't refund me... I paid via PayPal and since I ordered my PayPal account was fraudulently used so I had to close it completely. I asked them if they could refund me to my bank or to my debit card and they said no. They said they could only refund PayPal and id have to fight for my money back which is bs for anyone who knows how PayPal operate I wouldn't ever see that money. And this is the level of service you guys seem to think is acceptable??? I can't afford to go any spend another £1600 or so I need my money back first. This company is just badly wrong ethically
