*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

All the cards in stock have just 2 8-pin power phases aren't these the ones people advised to stay away from???
Nope mine only has 2 x 8pin but clocks like a beast. Hitting 2.2ghz in benches and for normal gaming i keep it just over 2.1ghz, i am watercooled though so helps keep temps below 50c.

yeah I cancelled a 3080 msi order here and purchased a zotac trinity 3090. It's been rock solid and the styling fits well with the open case I'm using
I've undervolted it to 1850mhz / 825mV and it stays rock solid never hitting powercap with pretty good temps and noise
There's better cards but they also cost significantly more as well, so you just getting worse bang for buck really

Yes it is as their capacitors used aren't cheap and cutting corners... go do the research buddy

The asus strix has a weaker VRM than the standard Fe models, only thing the strix does is offer a higher power above 400w the Fe offers, 480w but if you look the VRM is weaker than the Fe. Only card to date that offers stronger VRM than the Fe with more phases is the palit Gamerock 3090 oc

FFS whats this morbid obsession with Asus? Damn. There are other brands in stock. Buy them and stop banging your heads on virtual brick walls.
If I could find another card for the same 650 price point I'd happily jump to a different card. All other cards are now 750 quid or more.

OK guys, my first post. After reading a good bit of this forum there seems little hope of getting my Strix 3090 OC this side of Easter (not sure which year ). Queue position is 320 and OC are obviously not receiving ANY of these boards.
My understanding is that the Strix OC is the fastest out of the box and has a near 500W power limit. None of the other cards seem to come close. What I haven't been able to work out is whether NVidia are putting the best silicon in their own FE card and so would overclock well on water.
Card will have a waterblock front (probably EK) and back(MP5 that I just received), so can anyone suggest an alternative that may be available elsewhere (), with all MLCCs, that they've overclocked to at least 2000MHz on water.
If I'm paying this much it seems senseless to accept anything other than the fastest card (use will be FS2020 and DCS World in VR on a Reverb G2 that I received this week). Current card is Gigabyte Aorus 2080ti with EK Vector waterblock.

I see Asus blagging again on fb, more stock on the way to your retailers. Its embarrassing it really is, how many more lies do they need to say.

But you are talking, at the very most, 10fps between the strix and other lesser cards. Are your really willing to wait months for 10 odd FPS? I had one pre ordered and cancelled. Got a gigabyte vision oc coming Saturday. Ordered 2 days ago for £1560. Get yourself on telegram. There are literally several UK based 3090's available every hour. Some available within days, all by years end. Prices are mostly RRP or at worst RRP + 100.
