Yes but I draw the line at cutting £1500 GPUs!
I cut a bit of the PCI bracket in my current case so I could fit my 2080Ti in the slots I wanted, but I wouldn’t cut a card as resale value would be toast.
If I recall a fair few years back, GPU's used to come with different size PCI brackets so if you watercooled etc you could change the bracket size. Same as some cases had mini PCI slots etc.
I guess it's no longer a thing.
Anybody got an updated queue position yet for rog strix 3090 OC edition?
Queue updates are emailed after they deliver a load. Which even if they did/do get some in today I really doubt they'll have packaged, transacted and delivered at only 10amAnybody got an updated queue position yet for rog strix 3090 OC edition?
I've seen rumours of them arriving at OCUK today, so they'll be updated when they send some out, I'm at queue position 4 so I won't get an updated queue numberAnybody got an updated queue position yet for rog strix 3090 OC edition?
Kind of odd that there has been no shipment update since Wednesday. Usually there's one every 2-3 days.
Me and Scoobs gonna investigate.Kind of odd that there has been no shipment update since Wednesday. Usually there's one every 2-3 days.
China is on holiday.
So that could be it.
Yea but the shipment that arrives this week would have been sent weeks ago, probably even a month ago or so. The holidays are going to affect the shipment later this month, not in the week of the holiday itself.not too unsuprising given its a national holiday in china from 1st-7th october right now.
Having worked in imports previously, I can tell you that anything going on in China won't affect actual physical products here for quite a while. There is a huge lag of at least two weeks when it comes to air shipping, and 8-12 weeks by sea. So I wouldn't worry about that. Yet.China is on holiday.
So that could be it.
Harsh, but true. Some sort of forward-looking schedule of upcoming delivery dates, even if they're speculative, would be useful and welcome.appreciate the landing page, but with no info like expected delivery dates for incoming stock and so on its about as useful as a chocolate teapot
