*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

OcUK seems to be the only place at the moment that is getting any stock, why is that? Seems odd. The last 2 days there seems to have been a load of drops for 3090's and no other reseller has had any come on. Well curry's maybe once or twice. But 20 odd drops on OcUK seems a bit weird.

We don't list the cards as soon as they arrive. What we've been able to sell over the last couple of days is stock from the last month.

Thanks for the response @ScottiB. And thanks for your efforts in still getting these to the UK market. The prices are still a bit too steep for me. As you've already said the price you buy them at plus the shipping and taxes are killing it. Is it all still air freight, or are some boats in use now? I heard the other day that now the UK doesn't ship landfill to aisa, the shipping has gone up a lot too. Sad times.

It's hard for me to tell because the brands that I have direct contact with are mostly shipping through EU hubs and then putting them on trucks to the UK, but yes, container prices are still ten times what they used to be.

Brilliant! I might actually do the same.

Enjoy buddy, hopefully your LG 27GP950 (that I'm also waiting for!) isn't too far behind either :D
Thank you kindly. It feels brilliant. First ever build, I’ve cable managed, I’ve loaded what needs loading and everything. Feels brilliant.
It’s hooked to the tv now. But at least it all works which is the main thing.

Good luck to you mate and I hope all you need arrives soon.

OCUK, thank you guys too, you answered questions when I asked. This forum system is cracking and the way you interact with the customs is cleaver and feels more personal than a corporation to me. Also I would like to say; I understand and feel for you, getting the brunt of disgruntlement when manufacturers are upping prices and you need to cover them, you’re a business after all and a good one.
Lastly. Thanks for the Harribo, was delicious.

:)

I am guessing switching to the ones in stock would mean paying the difference of their price now

You may get a small reduction depending on how long you've been waiting.

DM them and ask.

My ASUS 3090 Tuf OC is being delivered today. No point consider waiting for cheaper prices right now when did the the demand is so high.

I can see the prices actually going up even higher

Evening all, I popped in from the 3080 group therapy forum. :p

Have all the 3090 backorders cleared now? Early March, Gibbo posted the backlog mostly in low double digits.

With the benefits of 20/10 hindsight, it would seem sensible to have ordered a 3090 day 1 and still ended up A) with a GPU and B) at lower cost than a buying a 3080 at street prices now.

Now I just need a time machine and to remember to tatoo the last few winning lottery numbers somewhere..

My conscience is at peace now having waited so long for a 3080 then grabbing a 3090 at MSRP last year. Like everyone I had high hopes of picking up a 3080 day 1, I'd sold my 2080Ti and had cash to burn. But no. There was no chance. Daily drop in on these forums just seem to exacerbate the issue as everyone was in limbo- apart from the lucky few who managed to snag a unicorn. The only people who seemed to have stock were tech reviewers on YT who told everyone how great these cards were. By chance I saw a 3090 in stock elsewhere and nabbed it with a free copy of Coldwar and Geforce now. performance has been excellent and in hindsight it was the right card drive my LG CX 65" screen. Seeing these cards for £2.5k-£3k on ebay just seems ridiculous and is a sad indictment on where we've got to in 2021. My cards a keeper and glad my crystal ball was in sync for once!

I've pulled the plug, I'm out.

News of the X570s chipset was the final nail in the coffin for my build, so I'll be waiting for the next cycle/update in 6-18 months.

Good luck to those remaining, I was in the queue for the Gigabyte 3090 Xtreme, but I was pretty much back of the queue so I don't think many people will move forward.

Indeed. I never thought at the time ( 6 months ago ) that splashing out £1500 on a graphics card ( 3090 )was a wise move, it felt extravagant although looking back it was the logical thing to do while not being able to get my hands on a 3080. Also while having the opportunity to mine with this card through the night and when im at work through the day, ive basically got my money back from the purchase.

Turned out to be the best buy of 2020 for me.

Its so frustrating... Ive got all the parts for the rest of the build but cant tap out yet as i am sure the current GTX780 isnt gonna help the new 5950x etc lol.

Heres to hoping some good news from KFA2 :)

If you are referring to the 3090 HOF, we have another 50 cards due soon, but the price has increased, the back orders shall be honoured and the stock left over shall be made available.
