*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Nvidia always doubles the VRAM or there abouts on their top tier gaming GPU every couple of generations also Titan class performance is usually around 40% faster than their 80 non ti series rather than just 10-15%, Titans have also never been manufactured by AIBs.

Sure nvidia maybe trying to up sell the A6000 by holding back the driver package and that's if they don't end up releasing a real Titan later on 7nm but then the 3090 is squarely aimed at gamers and and by changing the name people think they are getting a cheap Titan rather than a price jacked ti.

nVidia mentions gaming when marketing the 3090 for one reason, to get more sales from people who are dumb enough to believe marketing. The fact that people think this is "a gaming card" seems weird when its mostly professional content creators, 3D designers & renderers who are getting value from it.

Measuring Titan class performance as an earlier generation's performance gap is a bit nonsensical. As a professional 3D artist, I am telling you the only performance gap I care about is how much faster the new stuff is. On that note the 3090 (and the 3080) utterly destroy the Titan RTX. In almost every pro GPU rendering benchmark the 3090 crushes the Titan by 100%... savage. In some cases a lowly 3070 beats a Titan :/ If a pro needs 24GB over the 10GB of a 3080 they're going to get a 3090 and be very happy compared to whatever garbage a "Titan class card" was.

Solidworks and some obscure medical app are niche situations I can think of that will miss out on Titan drivers, but they will be served by the likes of the A4000 & A5000, as will media servers etc. People who use those are not dumb and know what to buy... its weird that gamers that seem to get hung up on marketing claims that aren't even relevant to them.

OCUK RTX 3090 KFA2 £2699.99

Current in stock
I know its a fantasy, but I wish everything you bought and sold in online stores had to have the profit markup openly on the purchasing receipt. There should be full transparency around all purchases and imo it should always be clear how much profit is being made. There should imo be no legitimate reason to be able to hide the mark up from the buyer before they make their choice to buy.

Just a thought for you lucky people who've actually obtained a 3090 - it's such a valuable item, you probably need to declare it on your home insurance for it to be covered at full value

Certainly mine needs any item over £1000 to be listed.

Didn't feel lucky at the time of purchase back in october, these cards were in abundance and in stock at close to RRP for days if i remember right. who'd have thought back then that we would be in this current **** show.

Thanks for the tip with regards to insurance, never thought to list the card on the contents insurance. the way things are going i'd better put in down for £4000 ? to cover replacement costs ? lol
