*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I sent an email to Asus about delivery estimates of the ROG Strix. I mentioned that OCUK don't seem to know an ETA and some of us were looking for clarity.
Their reply was exactly what I thought it would be - it'll get there when it gets there and OCUK will let you know.

"I can appreciate your frustration whilst anticipating your graphic card to be shipped out.
I can only imagine how excited you must be given you are actually able to purchase one of those. Stock is actually depleted everywhere and lots of customers are actually asking where to buy it from and they are not even on the waiting list.
I am sure you are in contact with Overclockers and they will duly update you as soon your item is on its way. Unfortunately, we do not have information regarding stock availability with us in the call center. The retailer will be able to advise you accordingly as soon as an ETA is available.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused."

Over to overclockers then for some info.

I asked them on Facebook on Friday and they still have no idea
Well can only guess that Asus have sent out a shipment that only certain people are allowed to know about. Imagine if they gave an exact container number, ship name, destination. That would be top notch tracking right there. Of course they won't tell anyone just incase someone tries to get a bit OTT and try and hijack the container :)

I’m hoping that I can find out my queue position soon. I know it’s going to be high, so I’m not expecting it this year but at least I’ll know how bad the damage is :):(

Well at least you have your pre-order in for the 4000 cards :D

Hope we hear something from ASUS this week as it's getting silly now.

The people who answered your email are customer service advisors, possibly outsourced to a completely different location. It's their job to answer your questions and to help you. You aren't getting the info you want because they're being lazy and they can't be bothered asking someone else. Are you going to let them off that easily?

It took me about 4-5 emails going tit-for-tat to get the response I wanted from them.

When I emailed Galax they first fobbed me off with checking facebook for dates. I replied that facebook states that is was released on the 24th. They then tried to fob me off by sending me a link to their store, which was basically a list of stores in the UK who stock their cards.

My final email before they gave me the information was :-

I don’t understand the secrecy involving the ETA of a GPU.
You send me a link to the store I have purchased the GPU from.
I ask the store when I will receive my GPU. They tell me they do not know and tell me to ask you.
I ask you when will stock arrive in the UK. You tell me to ask the store.
The store has my money and you have my GPU , but nobody wants to tell me what is going on?
Will my GPU arrive by the end of October? Will it be before 2021?
Who is it who I can ask when the UK will receive stock?

You wouldn't allow this over any other item. Imagine you purchased a car and the dealer states that you might get it next month or in 3 months, you'd walk away. Same with a TV or any other item.

If they don't give you the info that you want then the choice is yours if you want to be trod on by people who quickly take your money for goods and hold it indefinitely.

Although I don't know if that means it will be shipping from China at the end of the month, or they will arrive in the UK at the end of the month.

It was a slightly vague answer. I did ask them multiple times when the shipment of my card would arrive in the UK. I'm going to assume that's what they meant, language barrier and all.

If it doesn't show then EVGA have stated they'd have completed all their pre-orders by that point and will have regular stock.

Why are you planning on holding onto your 3080 order which you then changed to a 3090 order and kept your place in the queue and then hope to swap over again and become no 1 in the 4000 queue?

Looking at other shops.
It looks like there could be some ASUS 3090s this week.

Unless ASUS have bypassed OCUK?

Yeah, I'm waiting on a call back over a ROG Strix to let me know what date they're arriving.

Another store received 3080 ASUS stock today but sold out quickly/

65 position for MSI TRIO X 3090 but when i seen how MSI scalping their own product i am sure will get my card next year lol

looking around the web, MSI seems to be sending cards weekly in large quantities. I predict MSI will have caught up with all preorders before end of October and will go into stock each week.

Twice this week I have had one in my basket to get next day but resisted as I really want the Asus strix.

Yea did read that so after they deliver these cards i should know my new queue position and finally should know what mean "" small amount""
