*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Honestly, though, you could still get a pre-order in for a day-one next-gen console three days after they began. This was three seconds.

Aye, but they are also in far higher numbers of production (and demand conversely, granted).

If Nvidia/AIBs spend as much time getting their production together for the paying customer instead of fostering demand by inundating YouTubers with multiple cards, we'd all be better off, but this launch has just been a classic example of how to get something out before the competitors knowing that structurally the capability is not there.
Doesn't help when retailers are continuing to accept preorders for items which they frankly have no idea when they can deliver - thats certainly one thing that can't be levelled against the console launches in official channels, and mostly its well advertised that there will be delays in other suppliers.
The consumer as well needs a kick up the arse, with the bot usage, the site spamming, the scalping, the multiple orders etc

I'm as anxious as the next person to get my hands on one, but I did go into a purchase expecting a delay so I'm a little bit more relaxed than some folk chasing after the shortest queues, the other vendors etc. But hey, people can do what they like with their money whether thats cancel, hold on or double up somewhere, but we are where we are unfortunately.

Which group? Or is that the actual verified brand Page?

The Asus PC DIY Group which is run by Juan Jose Guerrero III - Technical Product Marketing Manager at ASUS. Best way of getting up to date info on Asus cards I have found.

You get regular information and updates on there, far more info than you get anywhere else which is just silence.

TUF 3080 and 3090 have been shipped out by the 1000s before holiday shutdown and should be arriving in massive quantities to retailers. One Danish retailer posted pics of their delivery and they have 100s of each, pallets and pallets.

Somewhere on that site it was reported they didnt even start making any strix until the 28th September and missed shipping them out in any quantities before the holiday shutdown.

You even seem to get more information about overclockers on there than here sometimes...............

Ah, I glossed over that page because it didn't strike me as being much of an official channel but if he runs it then yeah I'll keep an eye on it

Yeah it just looks like a bunch of geeks into Asus gear lol. Juan posts some really informative videos and information you dont see elsewhere.

His PSU requirement video for 3080s and 3090s was really good.

The Asus ROG official German site also updates with much more details and issues of stock than the main sites.

For example that fact that assembly and testing takes up to 144 hours per card (6 days) so from the factory starting production its 6 days before the first one is shipped out.

But due to demand Asus are shipping all cards finished by DHL express direct on a daily basis to the retailers rather then the normal distribution channels but obviously shipments wont restart until after the October holidays.

That's good to hear increases the hope of getting them before Cyberpunk.

I've removed it from the OP but the 3080 cards seem to be within a margin of error approx ~100.

Some people within 5, some within 100 but didn't see any vastly different.

Queue position 4 :eek::D

Thank you for your pre-order for the Asus GeForce RTX 3090 TUF Gaming 24GB GDDR6X PCI-Express Graphics Card on order X.

You are currently in queue position 4. Please keep checking your emails, we will send an update after each shipment with your new position.

Edit: ordered at 14:04

Thought I'd give some possible insight as to where people are in the queue.

My order for my 3080 MSI Gaming X Trio went through at 21:13pm on the 17th September. Was stuck in a very remote part of the country on average 4G .

I received an email just now to say I'm No. 801 in the queue, now I don't know if that's in total for a 3080 or just for the MSI X GT? I'm obviously hoping its overall.

**My bad, just realised I've posted in the 3090 not 3080 thread**
