*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4090 STOCK SITUATION & OcUK YOUTUBE REVIEWS - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Why are there no prices listed on OCUK for the 4090 cards?
Are they embarrassed? Shameful? Secret?

It would be nice to compare models and their pricing to know which to aim for. The only indication is on Nvidia's website, and that doesn't seem to correlate with the stores pricing they list.

Simply because we have no idea on GBP at time of delivery and minor fluctuations right now can result in a card been cheaper or more expensive, so prices won't be listed and we won't take pre-orders.

Is it really that volatile? Margins that tight?

Is the only way to check pricing before any purchase to sit spamming F5 in the hope we catch the 60 second window of stock availability? :(

I was lucky enough to buy a 3080 from OCUK on release day, but I couldn't get OCUK site working on release day this year.

Yes very volatile and yes tight margins, there is a reason why no reseller is taking pre-orders. Too volatile and no real confirmation of how good or bad supply will be.

@Gibbo Hi, for those of us on the Zotac Trinity (non-OC) waitlist, will the mooted November order be enough to cover the backlog? Ta

Yes all backlog should be cleared.
We still have some OC aside for those wishing to upgrade just give sales a call and mention Rich Lester and Gibbo offered as an upgrade as they are like £1879 but only available to those with a back order on the none OC part Zotac Trinity.

Hi @Gibbo,

Any further news/updates on the MSI Gaming X Trio stock situation for Overclockers, please?
I spoke to the Customer Services team so am aware of my position in the backorder queue but haven't seen any updates on when you guys are expecting anything in of late.

Appreciate any updates you can share.

Nothing yet I am afraid, most partners were saying middle of November, we are hoping to get a Suprim NONE X version in stock, so basically a Suprim with no factory OC, maybe once we have finalised landed cost we could switch you over to that card for same price?

Well, stock of the cheaper AIB cards at OCUK seems to be pretty good now... https://www.overclockers.co.uk/?query=rtx%204090&price_decimal=1432:&sortBy=production_ocuk_price_asc

Really looks promising that we will not have a repeat of Ampere again.

Our cost prices still need to come down, but I am hopeful to get a £1799 live maybe today/tomorrow, it is the Palit Omni Black edition, essentially it is a GameRock card but they have removed the vapor chamber from the cooler to reduce cost and I also think they have removed the RGB as well. Cooling performance is like 3-4c hotter than the GameRock which has the chamber, so overall the temperatures are still pretty low and within line of other coolers anyway.

Looks like mainly Zotac and Palit left in stock but people seem to be avoiding these brands? Are they really that bad?

Zotac is selling like crazy to be honest, averaging 30-40 units per day with majority of sales on the £1799 part, we just have ample stock, as does competitors no doubt and Zotac. :)
4090 sales are still very strong just stock on some partners has been strong in past week or so, pound improved as well, cost came down. :)

£/$ hasn't improved that much. lowest of 1.05 to now 1.14 thats less than 8%. thats assuming retail orders were made during that mini-budget period.

really are you saying the swing on card prices is really exchange rate? cos I remember you saying exchange rate plays little to no on price movements back in RTX 30 series.
150

Our stock was booked in at 1.16
Example:
$1600 cost divided by 1.08 is £1482 plus VAT = £1777
$1600 cost divided by 1.16 is £1379 plus VAT = £1655

Add say 12% margin = £1991 VS £1853

So yes it is nearly £150 difference to the consumer, I consider that a big difference!

hang on, your stock is booked at 1.16 doesnt that mean RN the cards should be more expensive as it is 1.14 currently.

£1899 card - 12% margin = £1695
take VAT away = £1412
convert to $ @ 1.16 = $1637

now do the same convert back to £ under1.14 the same card should be £1930 which is an increase not a decrease.

anyway above is irrelevant as all your stocks are booked at 1.16 so the cards sold since day one to now all have same base cost given the same sku; there has been no VAT change; so the only thing that changes is retail margin or somehow you are getting discounts/subsidies from supplier/maunfacture.

The dollar rate changings daily, hourly and by the second, we have stock arriving every day. The latest batch of Zotac stock arrived start of this week and when it was booked the system booked it at 1.165 rate, hence some nice prices on latest batch of Zotac.

Hi there

As were talking about looks, I have decided to re-list Gainward back at OcUK. :)
Why? Quite simply the cleanest design of any 4090, the Phantom's look immense, 4090 in stock now!

Hi there, any clue when these will be in stock?

4090 shipments have really thinned out this week and demand has increased, not that it impacts you as your in the pre-order queue, Gigabyte have shipped very little volume and are not giving ETAs, I'd hazard a guess that they will hopefully have another shipment coming into the UK within the next 2-3 weeks which should see your order completed.

@Gibbo So seeing as you have all the Zotac 4090 cards in stock tonight, does that mean I'm going to get my replacement card now then? I rang support today to see what was going on and they weren't sure what was happening. I can PM you the RMA number if you like.

I don’t have access to RMA systems so get in touch with those guys tomorrow and I’m sure they will sort it out. :)

@Gibbo do you think the stock levels will improve and prices will lower a little for the 4090's in early 2023?

Demand on 4090 is very strong, if pound holds/improves I can forsee AIB cards hitting £1500-£1600 region for entry level AIB models, but cannot see them going any lower than that unless NVIDIA made an official USD price cut but I doubt they would in short term, but come Easter next year who knows how demand and supply will be.

Got an order in earlier for an Asus TUF OC ( ST5190544 ) while it was in stock and saw the status changed to pre-order. Is there any way to tell if I am on the pre-order queue or if I was able to nab one?

Edit: Seems like they're marked as in stock again

Were getting 4090 shipments now on a weekly basis and hence why now nearly all cards are in stock or at least have pre-order facility. :)

Guys

Couple of updates!

Gainward Phantom due to us Dec 22nd and only £1649, GBP helps a lot!
KFA2 secured a flight, due to us Dec 24th!

Now I cannot guarantee any pre-XMAS deliveries, there is far to many potential things to go wrong, so please anyone screaming who bought a card on pre-order stating their Christmas was ruined, don't even go there. ;)

The above two cards are probably the lowest priced 4090's out there, even better really good ones! What I can guarantee (99%) you will have it this year. :D
