Damn, AMD fanboys wont be letting this one go for a while, can we have a forum filter for the 400 series so we can just move on and forget about it.

So you've got a max budget of £450... do you:

  • Buy a GTX 480?
  • Buy two HD 5850's?
  • Buy one HD 5870 and save a bit of cash?
  • Or wait for 2GB HD 5870?
Genuine responses appreciated! :)

I don't want to Troll, but last weeks especially with the AMD 6 core stuff coming, I think it's going to swing back to AMD/ATI. Since 1997 I've been Intel / Nvidia, may sound odd but feel i'll be building an AMD/ATI rig next time.

3D Vision is software and has been around for years ...

The real problem is hardware, which they fail to deliver

No competition = no price war

No new shiny hardware that does miracles = next day is no different day

Another "possible" option might be to wait for the ATI 5890. At least, that's what I'm hoping I'll be able to do.

Stay with your current card and invest in an upcoming 6core.

or if not needed for work reasons, save money for next gen.

I'd wait for refreshes as I've a feeling there are good things in store there. Otherwise grab 2 5850s
