NVIDIA HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT - GPU PRICE CUTS AT OcUK!

They did show a few games that they said would be 2x to 4x faster thou, so i guess depends on the games.

only if using DLSS 3. if the game doesn't support it then the 4080 models are hardly faster than the 3090ti. You need to go to a 4090 for a 60% performance gain. Hence the old stock of 3080/3090/ti is still worth good money performance wise.

I think he said Ada was up to 2x faster in raster. I take that to mean that the full-fat 4090Ti version of this architecture was twice as fast as the 3090ti in one single exaple that they tested.

Looks like my 1.5 year old 3060ti FE for £380 was a bargain!

I still think the 3060ti was the best card from the 30 series then the yes don't roll over and laugh the 10GB 3080 at MSRP. Everything else was a money grab and the 3090 was a bargain ONLY for pro users and only compared to Titans and A-Series (Quadros of the past). Everything else well was a bit meeh for the money. The 40 series again is a mess and the customers need to let them know that.

3060ti should be 300 quid now tops.

3060 300 at moment and people selling 2060s for 185 new recently. not much difference to a 3060 either. they should be like 200 - 250. it will come.

Yes just under 200pc left and as of no surprise the sales in the last 24 hours have picked up to around 6-8 units per day and potentially increasing more, so you can do the math and expect them to not hang around long, of course as well once were down to our last 20-30 units we shall increase the price as I will be honest were making 5% which barely covers the overheads so the last handful we will increase price to slow run-rate.

As the saying goes if you think the price is fair and you need it, buy it, the world has changed to how it was three years ago.
Price is alright in my opinion, and the 12 gig variant gives it a more longevity vs the original 10 gig models.

Not sure why people think hardware becomes junk when next gen is looming.

it maybe new to you but when you see sales ans see whats happening around the world price cuts are coming. may fall for sales pitches but its coming.

Some people dont mind it, some do. Some change their stance like the wind. The time to mine on them was two years ago though..

Well mining is over really now for most people, and the stock markets are beginning to collapse around the world, think we have very bad times ahead im afraid to say, imo that is.

Because many on here blamed Eth mining fir gpu shortages, when it was scalpers

You and GPuerrilla blamed mining several times. You started that thread when the EVGA released the firmware, claiming that it would make cards even harder to get because LHR was now broken. Gpuerilla was quick to blame Nvidia for not coming out with the LHR soon enough and blaming AIBs and Nvidia for selling directly to miners. When the 6600 xt came out and was released at higher price, you blamed mining for the increased demand hence the increased price. When the 3050 was released you said it was going to be a much higher price because it was one of the most efficient mining GPUs.

You can also see it in Nvidia's financials for the second quarter of this year. I believe Gpuerrilla even blamed mining been down.

You also claimed that Mining didn't really affect the UK. LOL, how could anyone come out with a statement like that is beyond me. The UK doesn't exist in a vacuum. If the AIBs and Nvidia are selling pallet loads of GPUs to Miners, as you both suggested they were, then those GPUs aren't reaching the UK. And You just have to look on Ebay to see that there was lots of mining going on in the UK too. There are 100's of mining rigs for sale right now.

That you both keep saying that scalpers caused the shortages is unbelievable. Scalpers aren't a cause, they are a symptom.
