** NVIDIA PRICE DROP: GTX 780 & 770 MASSIVE PRICE DROP!! **

I think Orange just mean lots of us are sick of being accused of being AMD fanboy, just because we refused to get milked by Nvidia :p

Or the fact nvidia have dropped prices below AMD yet people are still saying the prices aren't acceptable lol as they should have been this price at launch.

If its in the product description under free items then you will get them, if there is nothing there, then that product has no promotion. Though do a hard refresh and if they appear they will automatically add to your basket.

We have only just done this so it only counts for orders placed after 13:00!!!

Thank you, just going to order now. I think the second one will mean I can't use my soundcard anymore but been looking for an excuse for a USB DAC so all works out.

So from an unbiased perspective - which is the stronger card?

I'd be watercooling it, so supply of waterblocks for the 290x (and the 290x itself) are hard to come by.

What would you guys buy? Currently on a 7970 Lightning.

290X is faster by a mile. If you're overclocking on water then 290X a no-brainer.

This just makes no sense and looks like you are annoyed for some reason? Chill out bud and I am sure AMD will be dropping prices as well, so good for everyone :)

I have seen loads of people claiming the 780 is faster than a 290X, which isn't true, and loads of people saying AMD is dead, AMD are finished blah blah blah.

Does anyone know if these price cuts will trickle their way down to the 760? I would love a 770 or 780 but as a poor student I just cant justify that much money on a graphics card

I have to say...while the current price of the GTX780 with the free games are good value now, I still agree that this price should had been there since launch :p There's no denying the GTX780 was very overpriced.

Not sure why you would even consider a 290x at their current prices when a Gigabyte 780 gtx OC is the same if not faster out the box, is cheaper, comes with a more valuable games bundle, uses less power, and only runs at 67 degrees and is silent.....

It seems if you own an Nvidia GPU, you are an Nvidia fanboii and if you own an AMD GPU, you are an AMD fanboii. Quite sad really and this labeling is out of order. Some quite happily switch between the 2 vendors and don't care for either in loyalty terms.

This nonsense has to stop but if you look through this thread (which is a good thread promoting Nvidia prices), you will see the odd scorn thrown in by the odd poster for some reason and at both brands.

I say GPU pricing wars is the best thing for us gamers and may there be more of them.

So overpriced it sold incredibly well still? Considering new cards cost £400-500 8 years ago I don't think it was overpriced at all.
