The 290 is gonna screw things up for Nvidia I imagine.

anyone have a link which does a quick comparison of the different 780s? I'm trying to work out if the premium of the superclockers/HOF/Lightning is worth it or not.

Well I will be purchasing the MSI GTX 780 as soon as i get home tonight as it's now showing at £419.99 not £439.99 as originally shown.
My only concern is if the game bundles are added at 2pm will the prices go up a tad to allow for this?
If not who would buy a card now and not wait until this afternoon.

AMD just have to be cheaper to sell, that's just the way it is when performance is close between them and nvidia.

In an ideal world, this would be the case but Nvidia had 9 months with the Titan prior to the 290X and 3 months with the 780 prior to the 290X. They charged what a lot of people were happy to pay. AMD turn up late to the party with a reference 290X that beats a reference 780 most times but with these OC 780's kicking butt with much better coolers, these 780 prices are more than welcome. I am begging to see the Titan drop so I can grab another for SLI again
The Ti will be out in a couple of weeks as well. Nvidia did done good
