Seems that way. I've accepted I won't see my Ventus till probably January / February 2021 - still, would be nice to get the update all the same.
Bought a card didn't even get queue number, I wouldn't get your hopes up, I will wait few more weeks if there will be lack of updates I will just cancel both Ryzen 5000 and rtx 3080 orders

Not saying its right, but you never seem to get an update gueue position email straight away.
I'm 130 for the ASUA ROG STRIX 3090 OC, ordered it September. I do feel like cashing in, but I'm still holding on..

I can't believe this crap queue moved from 103 to 102...gigabyte needs to step up instead of making new cards( vision and master) they should concentrate on day one back orders..

There is a free copy of COD Black Ops right now for people who bought rtx 3080 or 3090, i wonder will we still be able to get the game after promotion expires? technically we bought the cards while the promotion was active it's not our fault we have to wait for the cards

NVIDIA has announced that for a limited time, players will get Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with a purchase of a qualifying GeForce RTX 3080 or 3090 graphics card or gaming desktop. The promotion starts today, Friday, October 30 and will run through Tuesday, December 10.
Think we are going to miss out on this one....
I am guessing the gigabyte 3070 they dont get many of. After one week my queue went down by 30 spaces. I am 235...was hoping i was going to get this by 30th November for my bfs birthday...now im thinking i wont get it in time for Christmas? thats such a long time. When are OC getting more of these cards in substancial amount?
Lucky you! My zotac 3080 to only moved from position 32 to position 6 since September. Only 15 of these are confirmed shipments, the rest likely cancellation!
But yeah unfortunately I think you'd be very lucky to see it before Christmas

Definitely, I'm 88th and going off the rate these orders are being fulfilled, I'd be amazed if I got mine before 2021. I've moved about 35 places since Sep 17th all of which have been cancelations. For things to be in this bad shape 3 months after launch is abysmal.
There are claims that NVIDIA is looking to upgrade their Ampere consumer GPUs from Samsung's 8 nm to TSMC's 7 nm, I don't know how true this is but Samsung clearly can't even begin to meet demand, I think TSMC's 7mn is more widely used though and demand is huge for them at the moment as well, I think it's what AMD use. So I can't see it helping supply issues that much if it's true.
I'd be interested to know the total number of cards on order here at OCUK and the total number of orders fulfilled, it must be a really low percentage, I'd guess 5% and that's probably generous.
