I agree there's nothing special about them, they may have been 1 or 2 degrees cooler on a couple of reviews, that's about it. Out of the cheaper cards in my price range the TUF matches my motherboard, so it just made sense to me had I known it was going to be so popular I'd have gone for something else. I'm 88th in the que for it and I doubt there is a que smaller than that for any other card, especially in my price range.
But those further down the que I agree, I'd find out what the smallest que is across the 3080's and weigh it up next to what que number you have.

I think one of the reasons is the dimensions of the card - it's a bit more forgiving than others. Are there any other cards of a similar size?

Also, @Gibbo is there any update from Asus on 3090s? I'm tempted by a TUF 3090 (works paying for it) but wondered if there's even any point in trying to pre-order one from you. Any idea how long the queue is for them? Thanks for any help in advance.

Why do you care what anyone else buys ? unless you are in the queue yourself trying to bump yourself up it by encouraging others to cancel.

The extra Hdmi port is one reason many will want this card given LG is not going to put displayport on their CX Oleds anytime soon.
 
Yikes, jump to conclusions much and for the record no I don’t she a 3080 preorder.

The point is sitting in a queue 2000 deep for a card which isn’t even being delivered in any volume in the U.K. is a complete waste of time and energy. Sure if your right at the front of the line with an order at a sensible price then sure wait it out, for everyone else it’s going to be a long wait.
 
I took an ASUS Dual NON OC option for my 3070.
Main reasons I like ASUS. A lot of people will want a third fan and RGB.
So I figured this is a good bet. Get wrecked! Non OC is seemingly a bit slow but I still feel way less people have ordered it. So still waiting in my queue.

The 3070 OC options for me were me. For 10 ish FPS more and 5 degrees ish less heat. And RGB. The increase of 150 bucks and more is just not worth it.

For me the 3070 is ideal until I build a whole new system next year with probably a 3080 Ti by then. I reckon Nvidias ampere is good enough into at least 2023 before Hopper arrives. But the AMD competition might bring it out sooner. No matter what it is a great time for new tech despite the delays.

3060 Ti seemingly coming December 2nd so this is probably also adding to the delays.
 
Convenient skipped the post where I clarified that if you were at the front of the queue and ordered at a decent then wait it out but I’ll bite.

Cant link competitors but there were Zotac available for under £670 last week, gigabyte for £730. Sitting 500+ deep in a pre order for one SKU which isn’t being delivered in volume and constantly posting queue numbers on a forum isn’t exactly the best use of time or money, particularly when retailers are adding their additional markups for a product they have no idea when they can source or ship.

I see the situation hasn't improved much over these past weeks. Prices have gone up too. I'm glad I picked up that Zotac 3070 oc when I did. Good luck to anyone attempting to get an amd gpu.

3070 Dual NONE OC - Large amount
3070 TUF OC - Very large amount

3080 TUF NONE OC - OK amount
3080 TUF OC - Large amount

3090 TUF OC - Small amount"

Well that was a welcome update, one more shipment like that and I may have a card.
 
Are the 3070s that are just labelled as "out of stock" but can still be added to your basket and (I assume) paid for, like the Aorus Master, likely to come back in stock at any point? Are they the ones we get added to a queue for, or are all these partner boards one offs as well and new 3070 stock will be different?

Just seen its changed to "Pre-order".

I'm a little confused, last week my que position for the 3080 TUF was 88 this week it's 65. That's way more than any other week if it were to be cancelations, but with an "OK" delivery coming in which is aprox 50, it doesn't add up if that's arrived either, unless it arrived very light I suppose.
At least it's going down...

I got 44 places up for the TUF to 434.
