** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

The opening post, page one specifically says;

"You cannot place pre-orders yet but you can on the following dates:
- 3090 September 24th 2pm
- 3080 September 17th 2pm
- 3070 October"

So on the 17th we are then allowed to pre-order? Why not now? Pre-ordering is ordering something that isn't yet released - so why can't we do it now? Why have a date for the release of a...pre-order date? It seems strange. If it's not realised on 17th (because that's the "pre-order" date), then when is it released? i.e. when is it in stock to buy?

here is a still a lack of information / clarity here which isn't helpful, hence the question.

Exactly what I want to know.

Just looking at the 3080 having just sold my EVGA 1080 ti for £325 barely used.

Now the kids are growing I'm looking to get into gaming again, will be ordering a 3080 on release / preorder day from OC. Any tips on the brand to go for? Looking at around £600 - 700 so thinking of going for the EVGA 3080

If it stays at its current price (£650) the Zotac Trinity is my preferred choice.

Metal chassis, 5 year warranty, has to be the pick of the crop.

I'm struggling to see why anyone would buy anything else, none of them have that warranty, and most of them are plastic horrors, and more expensive!

Why can there not be more elegant designs like the founders versions, they keep giving us the equivalent of a boy racer, when we want the style of a classy aston martin for example.

Simple really

Ocuk take payment as soon as a pre-order is placed, if these cards conveniently go up in price they've already taken payment for it and you pre-ordered it at the price they listed so they would have to honour that price.

Can we have some confirmation please

Firstly are the cards on release day the blower version? if so when will the custom cards be released such as the Strix OC 3090

With regards to SLI will there be a new SLI bridge, like a high bandwidth 3rd gen bridge?

There really is no "blower" version this time around, unless a cheaper clown card arrives with one. The FE is using axial fans in a sort of hybrid setup with one operating as a blower style exhaust and the other as an open air fan.

As for sli, it's dead, there are no sli "fingers" on the 3080, only the 3090, even then it would be a waste of money.

I don't mean to be rude, but that is an answer to a question we did not ask. Whilst it's useful to know, we are talking about the availability of the 3080 i.e. stock. 'The release of a pre-order date' is not a thing, and thus it needs further explanation. If it needs put more simply, then the question is then: When do OC expect to have physical cards in their warehouse to then immediately send to their customers? If that date is not the 17th, then when is it. If OC do not know the date, then can they say so.

no. no we cant. Because all the bloody youtubers, streamers and review site have this type of junk in their systems. They think thats what we want!

Jesus. Even the font on that is offensive.

You did ask that as well, you're just gonna have to wait til the 17th.

Wasn't interested as I figured the price would be astronomical, am now interested given the price these are coming in at. Will probably try and get a 3080 of some description on release.

Awesome. Only problem is that lots of them don't have dimensions. Given how big some of them are, this is essential.

I need to start checking which cards will fit in my FT02 (309mm max) - there are some big cards!

My thoughts exactly. You are good for Asus but a lot of the others look way too big. My guess is that you will be fine with Gigabyte too.

Nvidia set the release dates, and OcUK don't have the info you want at the moment. You'll have that information when you pre-order.

Seems odd as well we have prices but we can't pre order now?

Least if they let us order now and say stock was short we would be on the list for it instead we will have to keep checking website hoping to catch stock of the card we would want
