After seeing yesterdays disaster I'm not confident about be able to pick up the 3090

My guess is that it won't be nearly as mental, the amount of people with +£1400 to drop on a GPU will be a lot less.

That said, if there's no stock......

Is'nt that mostly CPU limited as a single thread is constantly hammered ?

In the developer mode it tells you what is limiting your performance, and the GPU is taking a hammering, I can see it afterburner too, 100% use and vram maxed.

Telling a price at purchase but then taking a different amount from their accounts is completely illegal. This is getting reported. This is theft.

Have to be fair, I ordered at a price and that is what is being charged. I have seen people reporting a difference between the item page and then the basket price .... thats just unlucky timing.

But clicking buy at the price and then being charged different is new to me.

True but if I remember correctly the rumours before launch suggested that there was less 3090s the 3080s. I'm off work all that day so hopefully I'll be able to pick up one.

Have mine coming from elsewhere, I did try for an hour across various places but it was a very bumpy launch across all. Still very excited though!

Did your order go through originally at 689.99, then since it has dropped down in price? I clicked the product when it was 649.99 it showed 689.99 in my basket, I still completed my order at the higher price but wondered if its worth a phonecall to see if they will honour the lower price.

Oddly - I was searching around for 3080 stock last night after being "oversold" by another retailer, and came a cross a 3090 available to pre-order in the jungle. Managed to get one in (although far more money than I'd like to pay). Dispatched and sold by them too, not a third party. Now shows unavailable to order... wonder if it will come through next week...

If only they did pre-orders / new launches for new tech for phone orders only.... might have stopped the downtime that was had. Just like queuing at the good old days computer fairs.
