** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

Indeed shame Nvidia gagged them as clearly it is now apparent Gibbo didnt have any more than 50 max of any card and from memory he said he only had stock on 6 cards?

So the fact a Nvidia Partner who normally gets the most stock in Europe doesnt even have 300 cards on launch day tells you everything about this release.

On that basis I cant see there been more than thirty 3090 if we are lucky!

Sounds like another success for the Nvidia Marketing department. In fairness, there is seemingly nothing they can do that will stop people buying their cards, at times like this they must have a good laugh at their customers' expense.

Great hardware but what a horrible company, so relieved I have not needed one of their cards since the 8800 gtx. I hope AMD can save me from Nvidia's clutches again soon.

I can imagine Nvidia customer service: 'Shut up and buy the cards'. Followed by: 'shut up and buy another one in 6 months when 10gb is not enough vram!'.

Hi there

The NVIDIA 3000 series including RTX 3090, 3080 and 3070 are now ONLINE at Overclockers UK for your viewing pleasure.
You cannot place pre-orders yet but you can on the following dates:
- 3090 September 24th 2pm
- 3080 September 17th 2pm
- 3070 October

We expect good volume on these cards and the performance on offer is absolutely incredible and the pricing is even more impressive, NVIDIA have an absolute HIT on their hands here, these cards are going to sell in their thousands especially as they are launching in peak season and offer performance vastly beyond anything else with some incredible feature set and many USP's.

Here are the cards we have online so far but we are adding more cards every day so do be sure to keep checking back at the website on a daily basis to check for new additions as were expecting more models from all manufacturers and we have more manufacturers to still add including likes of EVGA, Gainward etc.

ummm the 3090 is not out till 24th and the prices from your post have gone up £100 and more in some cases from MSRP for a product that has not been released yet.. Can that be explained please ?

My basket has an order for :-

Amd 3950x
Asrock x570 tachi
64Gb of corsair 3600 RAM
NVME 2TB 4.0
A bluray drive
A 1500 watt corsair PSU

NH-D15 Black version cooler

All above I can get much cheaper than OCUK but I always buy my components from you for every build and was waiting to add an RTX 3090 because of the prices you stated but have shot up even before they were released, which makes no sense at all and you clearly state we can't preorder till 24th so how can we ever get them at the prices you stated in the first post? Basically the prices stated were never available as you stated we can't preorder till 24th so how can it have gone up before we can actually order or preorder at the price you state for the 24th September 3090 release date?

So taking my purchase somewhere else and save myself some money on the above parts and just wait for a RTX 3090 at MSRP which other retailers are selling them for still or grab one from NVIDIA when they get them in or buy direct from EVGA when they get the FTW versions in.

I don't know whats worse the scalpers or the retailer gouging before even a product is released. Sorry I'm not playing this game anymore. The excuses of exchange rates for a product that comes with a MSRP and was probably purchased way before rates changed and even with rate changes it hasn't changed over £100-£150 on a £1400 product.

Anyways poor show all round really... I better get ordering the parts I can get right now cheaper elsewhere and wait it out for a RTX 3090 at real prices, even Currys is selling most of the parts above I need a lot cheaper, which makes no sense considering how many you guys buy and sell compared to them for PC components.

So can we have an explanation why the RTX 3090's have gone up even before release ? So far the prices look like baiting people and has happened with the RTX 3080 people checking out to find they have been hit with over £50 price increase from when it was added in their basket to paying in under 2 minutes the other day.. Is the same going to happen again on 24th ? More added to the price as people check out ?

:rolleyes::mad:

Gibbo has already said that due to short supply he will not be selling any 3090 at MSRP and there won’t be a repeat of the prices changing as you check out.

consider them pre price increased for your convenience

if you only had 300 3080 max, I suspect he will have less than 30 3090 and they would sell ten times over.

:p

No man... I been a PC gamer all my life. It's just I do not OC my GPU's that all. These days I don't even overclock the CPU either. I only have an OC applied to my ram as it makes a difference other than that I just I like to run things stock.

I think my question is valid. £30 difference. But does it even make a difference because the cards will boost anyway right, so the factory overclock might not make much of a difference and if the coolers are the same... then what the extra £30 for?

Did you manage to buy a card yesterday?

Wow, no overclocking? There used to be huge gains in the past overclocking. How did you ever resist? I remember managing to overclock one of my CPUs and literally nearly doubled its performance! Many of my GPUs would overclock 20% or more also as I recall. How did you resist overclocking all your life? :p

To answer your question, no it ain’t worth paying the £30 when you can do a manual overclock or even use the oc scanner tool that will give you more performance. The GPUs are identical as far as I know, just one has better clocks out of the box which it is guaranteed to work at and if it does not you are in your right to RMA. As I highly doubt they binned these, there will be zero difference apart from this. Silicon lottery will be more important so if lucky you could get a non OC that overclocks much better than a OC one can overclock.

But again, how do you not know all this being a member here 10 years? :p;)

Yes I managed to pick up a ASUS TUF for £649 but I get the feeling I won’t get my hands on it until next month. Bit sad really, Nvidia really messed up the launch. They created a frenzy due to their marketing but did not have enough stock to supply the demand. They should have launched 4 weeks later and built up supply to avoid all this. All this has done is let scalpers and gaugers make extra profit at end users expense.

The upside of this is it gives me time to see what else is coming out and if there is something more suitable I can cancel my order.

Have you picked anything, if not you will likely be having to wait until November unless you are willing to get shafted and severely over pay :p

Yet once again Nvidia has let its customers down really badly and yet another release badly done. I will not be purchasing any of the new cards as I have a 2080ti (bought two years ago) and I am very happy with it even although when and if I come to sell it I would probably loose £1000 from my purchase (But thats life) so I will no longer purchase Nvidia products at any time.

So all Nvidias fault then really, Hey guys look at our new 4 series card it's as fast as a 3080 and only costs 299 dollars, oh by the way we only have 100 for the global market so prices will be around 2000 dollars at the retailers end... Nvidia really did screw the pooch on this one.

3080 doesn't seem that good of an overclocker so might be a good card for him. Seems they got most of this performance from brute forcing and pushing it as much as they could.

I would not be surprised if you end up with a 3090, their marketing is literally that strong. People get ****** with them and punish them by throwing more cash at them :p

I can’t see how a non oc model would not be able to easily achieve the oc models factory oc manually unless you get very unlucky and it is a turd of a silicon.

So, I tried to order from overclockers yesterday from 2pm but the site had so many issues, I managed to get a card ordered from a competitor at 14:05pm

The issue for me and this is across all the sites, not just OCUK so must have come from higher up is that there has been so much secrecy from the off.

  • No reviews or details until 24 hours before release
  • No details on AIB cards on speed and boost until point of sale
  • No clarity on how many cards are in stock
  • Some cards being given a delivery date but this not being fulfilled
  • Refusal by retailers to tell you where you are in the queue

So I managed to order an MSI gaming X Trio like I have said at 14:05 from a competitor, on their site and here on OCUK it was down as being delivered the next day, so the 18th September I would have my card... NOPE. I messaged them today and they won't tell me when the cards are in stock, they won't tell me where I am in the queue and the only thing they would say is I am near the front. That doesn't help if I don't know when these cards are in stock, I only went for MSI as it stated it would be with me today, even Monday or Tuesday would be fine but I no other info than near the front.

So my big gripe is advertising the cards, with dates that you would receive them which has turned out to be false.
I got mine ordered from a competitor site which also said delivery for the 18th but that didn't happen. I got my order in by 14.10. My item is stuck on waiting to be picked, waiting to be picked because they don't have any of the cards in stock. I was tempted to message to find out a bit more info but I haven't bothered as I know I won't get any sense from anyone so it's a case of just sit and wait. I have a brand new PC built which I can't use because I have no Gpu... Its so painful I just want to try it out haha

Fed up of posting, waiting & complaining. Nvidia dont care.
Stuff it, will get PS5, at least much cheaper. And will boost AMD.

Chances are that is just an empty threat made out of frustration. The 3080s will be back in stock before the PS5 is out and you will end up with one :p;)

Yeah I'm doing the same. Between the elitists and Youtubers (linus and gamers nexus) literally shilling for nvidia and retailers and mocking people for complaining as a form of entitlement I'm done before it even started. Being new to PC gaming as a whole, I've been met with nothing but nasty ******** and shills. It's one thing to not get your item. But its another to have your payment taken and have zero customer service with a cryptic message on here saying "it could be november or december but certainly not september and possibily not october" When on the ******* website it gave me an ETA of 23rd september. And they are still taking pre-orders whilst those poor ******** likely wont get a card till next year.

And yes you can cry entitlement all you want but it's much more of an entitlement for people like you brown nosing for companies who literally have millions.

Surprised they're not doing preorders for the 10080 released in 2026, really poor move from OCUK to knowingly accept so many orders knowing how much stock they would realistically get without actually letting people know there would be horrible delays on getting their orders, this is why I have zero brand loyalty, sure I'll check my favourites first but if the price is better elsewhere I'll go for the money everytime

I buy most small stuff from OCUK because of the free shipping often makes them the cheapest, but I can't recall the last time I managed to nab a GPU I wanted from OCUK, other sites are usually better setup and accurate in terms of knowing when you'll get something if you order

My last 2 have been from OCUK, it's a shame they dropped the ball on customer service this time all in the name of greed/being first as they usually excel where it comes to that but taking money on orders they know they won't be able to fill until maybe next year is really poor
