Yeah, and with the amount of pre-orders in, people waited a lot, lot longer than that 5 months for them, and also like i said, hilarious all the ******* and moaning about the 3090 price, when it demolishes the more expensive 2080 Tis, and has more than double the vram

Of course they can, they had people's money for months with some monitors, the LG's I think it was, and some 2080ti's.
Another reason why pre-ordering is for clowns.

Am I the only one getting a bit twitchy re the prospects of these 649 quid 3080s good up to nearly 800?

Is it still an issue with Zotac if we fit a waterblock? Will they honour warranty @Gibbo
Are the prices listed on these 3080's placeholder/somehwat reliable? I'm upgrading my system this year and waiting for the new AMD cpu's too, but looking to try and get in on the 17th to snap a 3080 as i'd like to have one for when the Zen3 arrives.
They may or may not be depending on the brand, asus strix cards have went from 699 to 829 for the non oc version. Not sure if many others have budged much.
Gotcha, personally looking at the EVGA/Zotec cards. Have no interest paying 829 for the asus cards.

Zotac dont and probably never will allow you to remove the cooler.

Can't comment on their RMA centre but I've had this amp extreme 1080ti since release with 0 issues so far over 3 years down the line.
