** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

Yeah unless you use RT and DLSS in everything, a 3080 isnt much of an upgrade for 2080ti users. They really need to go for a 3090 for that kind of proper gain.

And with what they get for selling their card - £400, its going to cost between £250 and £400 for the 25% faster 3080.

AFter blowing a wad on the 2080ti in the first place, this will be added pain again. Having to pay between 66 and 100% of what their card is worth to get another 25% gain. Ouch.
Yeah. Well one good news for me is the games I look forward to most use it, so that is a big pro for the 3080.

Yes, if true. Can the site be trusted due to what they've done before?
What did they do before?

I hope it ain’t true. If performance is the way Leather Jacket Man and Digital Foundry said, I will 100% buy on launch. If like the leak, I will wait until November. Roll on Monday.

be interesting monday, as i cannot order my 3090 till 27th can do very rough estimate of perf uplift from 3080 to 3090 based on extra cores etc.
will still go 3090 either way but will be nice to get some number in my head of % increase

leaked FE3080 benches are only 10% faster than overclocked 2080ti, so really the 3090 is the way to go for us.
3090 was the only way anyway. If one does not mind dropping £1200 for a 2080Ti, what’s another £200 extra to have the best card?

Also you keep comparing overclocked 2080Ti as if you know for sure the 3080 won’t overclock. It may well overclock just fine, but will mean it needs 400-500w.

tell them you need a poo and order it on your phone :)
Will make a change from F5

This may be a stupid question but am aware that Overclockers are doing the pre-prders at 2pm on the 17th but when are the cards actual release date? If paying on Monday are they likely to be sent out the same day? :)

17th is the release date. Hopefully they send them out the same day for next day delivery.

I gotta think someone like myself who is upgrading from a 980ti really has nothing to lose here. Its juct choosing between levels of upgrade, surely anything i go for 3070 or 3080 is just gonna represent great value for me.

My only consideration is whether this GPU upgrade is also gonna require CPU/Mobo upgrade also or ill be severly gimping my system at 1440p

I know about Asus tax but do you think the strix are actually likely to cose £200 more? (The prices seem to be changing daily at the moment). I am still looking at the Zotac but I think I'll be super lucky to get one as everyone else seems to want one so may go strix so I can sync it with my mobo. £200 for some RGB is way too much though.
