** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

Wow, OCUK have upped the price of the base Palit 3080 from £640 to £690!

With its crappy two year warranty I wouldn't have considered it at £640, even less so now!

If this is a sign of things to come, then I'm out.

Well that's annoying, starting already before they're even up to order. lol, sod it, if all of them go up I'm getting FE this time.

I'm pretty sure the price increases are requested by the manufacturer, rather than being upped by OCUK themselves. That being said I remember a similar thing happened with the 2000 series, with a lot of cards selling above their RRP. I get the feeling that part of the reason for the no pre-order system is to allow AIB partners time to adjust their pricing in line with their competitors, but that's just completely baseless speculation on my part.

Yes I agree, I don't know what happened with the 2080ti release I didn't follow it too much, but I remember the 1080ti release, they were available for pre order straight away, so your theory is correct, in fact I'm certain it is for them to adjust prices why they're not allowing pre orders straight away, makes sense for them.

I can’t remeber the initial price for the MSI 3080 Ventus but it’s currently at £679.99. If I can’t get an FE, or reviews make me not want one, the Ventus is the card I’m after. I won’t pay above the current price so if prices go up I’ll make do with what I have for now as it runs games at 1440 fine.

Surely reviews of all 3080 models are coming out on the 14th, not just FE ?
Would seem a bit odd to limit it to a specific model, rather than allow all variants of the 2080 ?
But then I don't understand why the NDA so close to release, Its been a while but didn't we used to get reviews and such at least a week prior ? granted I didn't see what happened with the 2xxx series but pretty sure the 1080's had time between reviews and release ?

FE reviews on the 14th, AIB cards on the 17th.
2080 reviews were the day before. I think some AMD reviews have been on release day.
