NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Looking at the AIB prices, the shops/manufactures are already scalping so there is little room left for other scalpers to do it.

The FE's are the only viable target price wise. But there is the 1 per address limitation and the store selling them is known to manually check each FE order for people trying to get around it, and cancelling the orders. With this in mind, people maybe able to buy one and sell it for a small profit, but it won't be anything like the scalping was with the 30 series.

The PS5 Pro also burned a lot of scalpers. The price tempered people's FOMO so it was still widely in stock, for less than MSRP, while scalpers were trying to flip them for a profit LOL. A lot will have learned their lesson I think
Yeah 100% agree, PS5 Pro scalpers got burned big time. Always nice to see

Welp I ordered a B-grade ASUS TUF 4090 OC from the clearance section for 1,150. Not going to fight for stock of a 5080 which will be not far off the same price anyway, bit slower and less VRAM, easy decision at that price IMO.
Congrats, i posted that a few days ago in the 5000 series thread.. glad someone picked it up and a great price too!

Will the reviews for the 5080 non-MSRP be coming out on the 30th before 2pm when the cards are 'available' for sale?
The 5090 info got released at 2pm, will be annoying/stupid if they did the same with the 5080 on it's release day.
Would be nice to see reviews of the different cards before attempting to get one.

I get the feeling we can read the reviews at our leisure while in the pre order queue for weeks.

I've had a TUF 4090 since launch and it's been a great card, stays super cool and quiet and had zero issues apart from a melted connector but that was down to the CableMod 90 degree adapter not the card itself.
You won't go far wrong with that card for sure, and I think looking at early leaks of 5080 performance it'll still be the second most powerful Nvidia GPU for a couple more years at least.
Tbh anyone who bought a 4090 at launch at RRP, it's looking more and more like a very good investment now lol

Well Jensen did say in his keynote at CES that the 4090 "was one of the best investment you could ever make" so he wasn't lieing Unless you invested in Nvidia stocks

Great card but it's a gamble with only a 6 month warranty.
Not too worried, I'll see how it is when I get it, hopefully lasts a while.

I think your post might have encouraged me to try an offer, hopefully the card is in good shape!

Great buy - I made an offer on the TUF 4080 Super today which was accepted :) Hopefully we get our cards soon!

Slightly off-topic, but for these b-grade stock, is it all done via offers rather than OCUK listing a price?
Yep, read the OP here :)
