After hesitating over seeing the 5090 I had in my basket was going to cost £2.5k instead of the £2k I was expecting I'm seriously considering buying a 4080 super / 7900XTX + 7800X3D / 14900KS equipped pc, possibly second hand, to replace my 3070 + i7 7700K pc. I would have bought a 5090 had it been £2k but £2.5k then no, I just can't afford that for a GPU.
