NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

You would think OCUK would have a decent viewable queue system like that with all the millions turnover they get, just makes them look inferior and subpar, in that aspect anyway.
Not only that, OCUK was my first choice for pre order but I was waiting till 5pm and ended up ordered elsewhere. Also, I was shocked when I saw the prices once the pre order finally available here.

Still reporting my findings on the 5080 Vanguard, just ran a couple of benchmarks.

- no noticeable coil whine even when pushing 250+ fps. I had to literally stick my ear to the card to hear it.
- As per reviews cooling performance and noise levels are incredible. GPU temperature reached out 60 degrees and memory 62 degrees max after a run of 3 tests.
- Fans speed never exceeded 32% during the tests. I’m ruining with the silent bios, which was the one set by default when I unboxed the card.

So far so good as they say :)

Please don’t attack, I come in peace!

Anyone else bought the 5090 Astral? Just wondering what you’ve been told in terms of timescale.

Also did anyone get one at launch which was in stock?

This is why I still order with OCUK. I've never had to deal with stuff like this. Sure the prices are higher here, but I can't tell you how many times I've had to deal with BS from other retailers.

5080 due to be delivered around 4pm today, so just glad I don't have to deal with this mess anymore.
We are in times where you can find other retailers who offer better service without gauging prices.

I'm not paying £300 extra just for loyalty.

Anyone seen this on the other site?

Price Guarantee on your pre-order price:

  • • If the price drops, we'll refund you the difference at the time of shipping.
  • • If the price increases, we'll notify you in advance—you can choose to accept or cancel your order.

So, am I reading that right? They can increase the price you paid?
Guarantee that price will increase. Still a Guarantee nice

Didn't think I would be here as I only got my order in at 17:20. Expensive Haribo this time though - Msi 5080 Gaming Trio

I mean FE is loud and has worst coil whine, but if it's available weeks or months before for £200-600 cheaper than AIB models, that's what many will do IMO
I seen/heard reports of coil whine, but I thought most reviews have been favourable about fan noise.

I tried to get a FE model of the 5090 but no joy like most, but I did see some available AIB models on the other site and I could not bring myself to press the buy button because of the uplift in price and they were gone lol.

But what had me fuming was all these youtubers, why have they all got 5090 FE models even ones that do nothing for Nvidia and they get them for free, makes no sense, I was watching the last digital foundry direct and everyone of them have 5090 FE even john that means 4 units went to one channel alone, what on earth is Nvidia thinking? Us mortals were there pressing the F5 key for what seems like a lifetime, and we have to pay 2K plus for the privilege and get nothing at the end of it.

Sorry, rant over, just ****** me off.
According to GN at least half the FE stock went to reviewers so the joke about influencers getting all the cards is true. As for the other well clearly Nvidia want you to believe in a theoretical price and product, being just out of reach to tempt you into buying the AIB's instead where they make more profit. :)

Did anyone get a 5090 msi gaming x trio? Curious on sound and temps. Can't find any reviews for that particular card yet.
