I doubt this is what everyonbe wants to hear but i honestly found this launch very easy to secure a 5090.

When spending north of 2k it feels obligatory to care which card you getI doubt this is what everyonbe wants to hear but i honestly found this launch very easy to secure a 5090. After originally having no luck on launch day i signed up to a stock alert syshtem. selected 5090 and turned on Chrome notification. 4 days later had a Chrome notification saying PNY card available but chose not to go for it, 30 mins after another pop up for MSI, clicked on the notification and hit buy now. 2 days later it arrived and i love, awesome card (few other on here done the same) since then i have had oportunities to get 4 more MSI and PNY and a Gamerock. Dont get me wrong you have to be quick whe the notification pops up buit its very do able, also helps if you do not care what card you get
if you do care then you will most likely need to go in the preorder queue and wait a whileWhen spending north of 2k it feels obligatory to care which card you get
I mean there's varying reasons why you'd care, looks, warranty, sound profile etc.if you do care then you will most likely need to go in the preorder queue and wait a while
if you dont, you can get these relatively easily as they drop
me personally, I dont see the difference between MSI, Gigabyte, Palit, a card is a card, you'll enjoy either one of them the same
Mine was from somewhere else I'm guessing. I actually had to provide a code and sign for it, which is a first. Temptation will probably get the better of me and it'll be opened tomorrow or Monday.Nice...I tried to order the zotac solid 5080 but won't let me as I've already ordered the 5090
Ah yeah I think I spotted it...£1349-1399Mine was from somewhere else I'm guessing. I actually had to provide a code and sign for it, which is a first. Temptation will probably get the better of me and it'll be opened tomorrow or Monday.
I've never really cared what my cards look like, left windowed cases behind a while ago.Ah yeah I think I spotted it...£1349-1399
It's a shame the gamerock is such a horrendous looking card...haha sorry
nah you dont need to use autobuy or be at your PC at allI mean there's varying reasons why you'd care, looks, warranty, sound profile etc.
That all said I don't think it's fair to say it was that easy to get anyway. There was multiple pings from said alert website/app but only the first ones for each model actually had a decent amount of stock, the rest were likely cancellations and thus were unlikely to be caught unless you're using the autobuy feature. Often Amazon shows things in stock, but if you try and checkout it tells you its out of stock. I don't really call paying for an auto buy feature, or having to be at your PC at the exact few seconds these drops were active "easy".
Fine, let me add I don't call having to pay attention to your phone alerts and being able to buy something on your phone during work hours for the seconds the stock was available easy either.nah you dont need to use autobuy or be at your PC at all
going into a store to buy a hightly sought out just released item is ...so 2018Fine, let me add I don't call having to pay attention to your phone alerts and being able to buy something on your phone during work hours for the seconds the stock was available easy either.
And I'm saying that as someone who could have also got the Msi 5090 but decided against it.
Easy is being able to go to a store and just buying it at any time.
Did nt pay for any auto buy feature literally just clicked the notification and hit nuy now when in the store (insteadof add tgo basket) I turned down the PNY becausw ei fdo not know enough about them . 30 mins later boom MSI, Buy Now. This was teh Tuesday after launch. On the Wednesday and Thursday there were more drops for both PNY and MSI cards and i think i porobably could have got at least 4 out of 6 of these cards, Toy can say you do not think its easy but at the end of the day i pressed buy now on the card wanted and gfot it straight away (no paying for bot services or auto buy) just quick reflexes and being ready to goI mean there's varying reasons why you'd care, looks, warranty, sound profile etc.

I didn't specify physically. An online store is still a store...going into a store to buy a hightly sought out just released item is ...so 2018
on another note, does ocuk not have a store front / showroom anymore, i'm sure i read a pop up to say there is no shop front
i drive past frequently but have not popped in i must admit, most my buying is online

Yesterday I was able to buy a Gamerock 5090. According to the latest update, it'll be delivered by next Wednesday (we'll see).
I'm quite chuffed to be honest because it's so ugly, it's downright amusing (like a bad movie). But for 2245£ (and given a Design XL with mesh) that's fine.

Very niceYesterday I was able to buy a Gamerock 5090 (from a store I wouldn't even consider a competitor). According to the latest update, it'll be delivered by next Wednesday (we'll see).

Wait what alert system? Are we talking about overclockers? cos I registered on another one's alerts (like EVERY website that has alerts) and didn't get any notifications. Was this all browser based notifications? or email/text/app etc?Did nt pay for any auto buy feature literally just clicked the notification and hit nuy now when in the store (insteadof add tgo basket) I turned down the PNY becausw ei fdo not know enough about them . 30 mins later boom MSI, Buy Now. Yeah, I went for the same 45th in the queue. Would have joined earlier but my funds were tied up in another order that took the money and then cancelled the order.Aorus Xtreme Waterforce (pre waterblocked).
You are not wrong, as it happens one arriving next week, damn eye drops not helpingneed a new keyboard mate lol
The alerts aren't stock notifications from shops directly. No idea if it is against the rules to say the name of it, but I found it with a quick reddit search. It was mentioned by name earlier in this thread (comment #3099 for example).Wait what alert system?
