Could be that they are waiting on the GPU die and memory package from Nvidia, even before and after new year affects thingsJune/July? Wow.
How does a mass manufacturing PCB company stay in business if it can't get 100 boards to a major UK stockist within 5 months!?
you would like to think that would give them more buying power with Asus then or at least i hope it wouldOh meant to say, problem with Astral at the other place is that they use the Astral in their pre-builds. They also prioritize pre-builds over pre-orders, as obviously much more margin in it for them selling a whole PC.
I'd either swap to another model there or get you pre-order in elsewhere.
If that's the case on an established process node it's going to be brutal for the 6000s on a shrink.Could be that they are waiting on the GPU die and memory package from Nvidia, even before and after new year affects things
It is also possible people who pre ordered other model have switched to Aorus master. If the queue is based on order/request time this may put some of them ahead of you after the shop updated the system.Well I cancelled my pre-order for ocuk as the aorus master ice came available for pre-order on the other site - checked my place in queue and was 52 last night, but is somehow now 56![]()
Because people are stupid...Thinking about it, why on earth don't the people that buy from scalpers just go and buy a pre-built with a 5090 in and then just swap the 5090 into there PC and the sell off the parts from the "new" PC and recoup some costs.. or just keep the PC and it will still probably be cheaper than buying from a scalper.
For the price some people pay you can get a nice 9800X3D build with a 5090 Astral OC cheaper than what that person paid Hostile for a MSI Suprim 5090![]()
It's true. I have the option right now from a UK retailer to get a 9800x3d and 5090 complete system for £3040, 32gb ram, 2tb ssd, 1000w atx 3.1 psu, only bad thing is the b650 mobo but pcie 5 is only like 1% improvement. Anyone want it with a 7900xtx in it instead? Ahah not joking.Thinking about it, why on earth don't the people that buy from scalpers just go and buy a pre-built with a 5090 in and then just swap the 5090 into there PC and the sell off the parts from the "new" PC and recoup some costs.. or just keep the PC and it will still probably be cheaper than buying from a scalper.

Makes you wonder how the third party sellers don't go bust when they have nothing to sellJune/July? Wow.

9070xt won't be as good as the 5080. Depends what you want. How long do people think before stock is sufficient enough for prices to go back to what they were originally or is that not likely to happen? I know it's purely guessing just can't decide whether to hold on to this 5080 or return it and wait and see how the 9070xt is.
That's what i have been thinking some people must be daft as a brush.Thinking about it, why on earth don't the people that buy from scalpers just go and buy a pre-built with a 5090 in and then just swap the 5090 into there PC and the sell off the parts from the "new" PC and recoup some costs.. or just keep the PC and it will still probably be cheaper than buying from a scalper.

I know it won't be as good but if it's under 20% for half the price that would be good enough9070xt won't be as good as the 5080. Depends what you want.
Well, the other site with the pre-orders is all closed, right on 24hrs.
Based on that, they had zero idea how much stock was coming in as each card should have in my view close on a set number of pre-orders for said card, but I have been tracking all cards that opened for pre-order, and all stayed live right up to 24hrs.
Sounds like a nice interest free loan they wanted, but good luck to the guys who ordered as I doubt I have the patience keep looking at my queue count if I am getting closer to zero.
Probably depends on what card you're after. I can't see the 5080 prices staying high that long. Stock doesn't seem to be too bad with a lot of card drops happening over the past week. How long do people think before stock is sufficient enough for prices to go back to what they were originally or is that not likely to happen? Its either low IQ or maybe they are planning to file a chargeback and return a brick.Thinking about it, why on earth don't the people that buy from scalpers just go and buy a pre-built with a 5090 in and then just swap the 5090 into there PC and the sell off the parts from the "new" PC and recoup some costs.. or just keep the PC and it will still probably be cheaper than buying from a scalper.
