NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

June/July? Wow.

How does a mass manufacturing PCB company stay in business if it can't get 100 boards to a major UK stockist within 5 months!?
Could be that they are waiting on the GPU die and memory package from Nvidia, even before and after new year affects things

Oh meant to say, problem with Astral at the other place is that they use the Astral in their pre-builds. They also prioritize pre-builds over pre-orders, as obviously much more margin in it for them selling a whole PC.

I'd either swap to another model there or get you pre-order in elsewhere.
you would like to think that would give them more buying power with Asus then or at least i hope it would  They do seem to get some sort of priority with Asus as their 50 series launch day event was in collaboration with Asus Rog and they were the only place i was able to get the Asus 480hz oled from so I'm hoping they get sent a decent amount of stock but time will tell....

Well I cancelled my pre-order for ocuk as the aorus master ice came available for pre-order on the other site - checked my place in queue and was 52 last night, but is somehow now 56
It is also possible people who pre ordered other model have switched to Aorus master. If the queue is based on order/request time this may put some of them ahead of you after the shop updated the system.

And my position for Asus 5090 has dropped 2 today and likely people have cancelled or switched model.

During 30 series they were decent with Asus, gave weekly & monthly estimates on when next shipments would arrive. Decent amounts of the queue were getting cleared every few weeks.

Took them until April to clear Asus pre-orders though so not too optimistic it will arrive any time soon. Glad I didn't prematurely sell my 4090 this time.

Thinking about it, why on earth don't the people that buy from scalpers just go and buy a pre-built with a 5090 in and then just swap the 5090 into there PC and the sell off the parts from the "new" PC and recoup some costs.. or just keep the PC and it will still probably be cheaper than buying from a scalper.

For the price some people pay you can get a nice 9800X3D build with a 5090 Astral OC cheaper than what that person paid Hostile for a MSI Suprim 5090

It's true. I have the option right now from a UK retailer to get a 9800x3d and 5090 complete system for £3040, 32gb ram, 2tb ssd, 1000w atx 3.1 psu, only bad thing is the b650 mobo but pcie 5 is only like 1% improvement. Anyone want it with a 7900xtx in it instead? Ahah not joking.

Makes you wonder how the third party sellers don't go bust when they have nothing to sell

Most likely the main reason why they need to charge £500+ over the FE model

How long do people think before stock is sufficient enough for prices to go back to what they were originally or is that not likely to happen? I know it's purely guessing just can't decide whether to hold on to this 5080 or return it and wait and see how the 9070xt is.

9070xt won't be as good as the 5080. Depends what you want.

That's what i have been thinking some people must be daft as a brush.

Well, the other site with the pre-orders is all closed, right on 24hrs.

Based on that, they had zero idea how much stock was coming in as each card should have in my view close on a set number of pre-orders for said card, but I have been tracking all cards that opened for pre-order, and all stayed live right up to 24hrs.

Sounds like a nice interest free loan they wanted, but good luck to the guys who ordered as I doubt I have the patience keep looking at my queue count if I am getting closer to zero.

I guess it depends on the model. I’ve joined at position 47.

Probably depends on what card you're after. I can't see the 5080 prices staying high that long. Stock doesn't seem to be too bad with a lot of card drops happening over the past week.

5090 is another question entirely, and I'd argue it doesn't look very good if you've got queues going into October. Even if that's a very cautious estimate, I can't imagine stock being that much better before summer. We might have a better indicator later in Feb when production starts to resume though.

Its either low IQ or maybe they are planning to file a chargeback and return a brick.
