NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Someone is trying shift their one on the bay at cost price of £1,3XX… good luck to that sucker haha!
I saw a scalper on eBay.. they got their hands on 3x 5090s, 1 was FE, another MSI and the other I can't remember.. At that point my blood was boiling and I just wanted to send them a nasty message lol

I mean it's a job for some of these people.

The big issue is Nvidia really, I just don't get it. They sent it out with minimal stock. It basically doesn't exist to most people. I don't think it being this scarce is really a good thing for them either. Out of sight out of mind as they say, people will just realise they can go without it and go on with their day. You need some kind of trickle in to keep some kind of hype up if you're trying to go with the artificial scarcity tactic.

I've been that way with Nvidia for sometime, any news/reviews of an Nvidia product/tech i pretty much ignore as even if i was *crazy enough to spend £2k+ on a GPU i couldn't be bothered with the hassle of trying to find stock.

*it's crazy to me because to me personally £2k is a lot of money, i know it's not for some so it's not that crazy for some people but it would be for me.

** Not that there is no option to buy a cheaper Nvidia GPU it's just to me, again personally, anything but their top end GPU seem to be poor value for money.

Its obvious that they want to sell as little silicon as possible to gamers and keep as much as they can for AI, the stuff they do sell to gamers they want to make as much money as possible for so an extreme shortage works in favour for both of their goals.

Buy it then return it as not working
I just don't get why scalpers even try to sell on Ebay. As the buyer, you can basically return it for any reason whatsoever and Ebay will force the seller to refund. You could literally buy a 5090, use it for 29 days at no risk.

Abuse the system and get a 5090 for free, return after 29 days, order a new one. Rinse, repeat:cry: Could work for the next few months when scalpers have gpu's to sell:cool:

I think I was the lucky one to get the MSRP MSI card that just dropped, got confirmation and should arrive tomorrow :D
I managed to nab a MSI - GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB VENTUS 3X OC Graphics Card at MSRP, received the receipt, but as I've opted for a free Saturday delivery, due to work, not got a tracking number as yet.

I literally just now got confirmation from DPD that they are waiting for them to get the handover and yes, same card for me too

Other site have stated CNY ends on the 12th and they don't really expect any shipments till after then.

So guess the rest of this week and next week are a write off.
They're launching the 5070 range on the 20th. Are we just assuming there will be none? Surely there has to be a delivery around then.

Couldn’t find any reviews of the card. Noted that this has four cooling pipes as compared to the plus which has six. I’m rocking an old 21:9 38” Dell Monitor playing at 4k at an OCed 75Hz, can see a new 57” Samsung monitor in my near future along with a new PSU. Such an expensive hobby!

Just managed to get a 5080 at MSRP from a competitor that shares a name with a restaurant. It's opened my eyes to my fomo and I think I'm going to cancel my £2400 5090, the odd weekend of gaming doesn't justify the spend!

Right? I cancelled my 5090 preorder after selling the 4090, then took a hard look at exactly what I've been doing and what I will be doing gaming wise...

A 5080 at £979 is actually pretty good *puts flame suit on*
